Absolutely gorgeous breakfast cooked by Stephen the owner, who also dropped us off to Donnington park where we were for the BSB.

Very warm welcome despite our late arrival. No problem arranging this via messages prior. Booking.com has messed up the booking making it single occupancy when it wasn't. Quickly rectified by the lovely chap who welcomed us and made it up for two in no time.

We had booked a weekend at Donington for the British touring cars (which i would recommend) and we wanted to stay close by and this location was ideal. It is a short walk (5/10 mins) from Donington Park and so we took the option to walk although there are plenty of taxi options if required. We arrived early and checked it was ok to leave our cars at the hotel for the day even though we couldn't check in until after the days racing and that was fine. We returned after racing and checked in, showered and changed and decided to have a short walk into Melbourne which is a nice village. By the time we got back that evening we were tired and we were pleased to have a lovely comfortable room for a good nights sleep. The rooms had everything we needed and a good shower which was appreciated. We had a great nights sleep and then woke for breakfast the next morning which was very enjoyable. They also allowed us to leave the car in their car park the following day whilst we went back to the 2nd day of the racing. Overall a great stay with friendly accomodating staff
Just one thing to mention to try and keep the review balanced but i should say this is not a negative just worth sharing. Melbourne view is outside of Melbourne so if staying there its a short drive or walk into Melbourne, although that was absolutely fine for us.

The location is excellent for Donnington park, and the staff were very friendly
The bed was uncomfortable, the mattress felt tired and could feel each spring, the pillows were flat, but i appreciated beds are a very subjective thing
