Beautifully appointed room along the water with a view to downtown. Super comfy bed. Loved the bathroom and shower. To me a five star stay. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Posh, clean, extremely well maintained and beautiful upon arrival
I didn’t choose to stay longer :)
First time stayed at the LINE Austin and was a staycation over the July 4th weekend. We attended a July 4th Creole Surf Riot party (Excellent food and drinks) where had a great view of Congress Ave Bridge and the fireworks but also had a view of the fireworks from our room window. This hotel was very modern and has great eateries on the ground floor along with a great coffee shop.
It is also very dog friendly and being on the Hike & Bike Trail there is some grass behind git and lots of it across Congress Ave but beware of homeless people. Many guests had their dogs with them. Easy to get on the trail and walk along Lady Bird Lake. Our hotel room was large and very clean. Everything worked fine but beware the hot water is scolding hot and the TV did quiet work where could not change channels. Luckily was stuck on the FOX channel showing the FIFA World Cup. We had a great view of the Congress Bridge but saw no bats. With the bed being so low our small dog was able to jump on and off the bed, and this hotel provided a pet blanket and two large bowls. The parking valet went smooth without any issues.
Overall this was a luxury hotel where the guests are treated nicely and perfect for a downtown Austin getaway.
We stayed at The LINE Austin for one night to celebrate our anniversary, and overall we had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Valet was quick to greet us and get us in the right direction to check in. Peyton at the front desk made us feel welcomed with a friendly attitude and excellent service. The check-in process was smooth, and our waterfront room was the perfect romantic touch for our special occasion.
After settling into our room, we discovered the Apple TV wasn't working. We called the front desk, and someone came up almost immediately to fix it, which we really appreciated. The quick response and great customer service made a big difference.
The only minor downsides were that the room only had one robe instead of two, and the clothing steamer wasn't working, which made it a little difficult to get our outfits ready for date night.
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend The LINE Austin for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in downtown Austin close to everything & lady bird lake. The beautiful location, comfortable accommodations, and attentive staff made our anniversary celebration memorable.
Had an amazing experience with our two kids. Staff was universally friendly and responsive. Accommodated all our requests including timely room cleaning, extra bedding, etc. room service breakfast was delicious, as was the food at P6. Spent a ton of time at the pool, which is a great setup with full service bar. Will come back every time we visit Austin.
Location, staff and bars and restaurants
Everything was too low to the ground. Beds and chairs.
Valet damaged my car. My backup camera is completely unresponsive once I got my vehicle back. I called to ask why I was not notified and connected by email with the manager, Tyler Frye. I was willing to work with them to resolve this but it has been over 2 weeks since I have heard back with follow ups on my end. Very unprofessional on all ends.
Such an amazing location and super fun and festive and beautiful hotel. The staff kept checking in on us to make sure we were good to go. And checking out via text makes it easy. I went with my 13-year-old so that we could enjoy gorgeous Ladybird lake and take in the fireworks and it was absolutely the right choice. Our room was impeccable as well. Super cool furniture choices that impressed a teenager is no easy feat.
I do not like eggs, so breakfast tacos was not an option. Had breakfast at a next door cafe and it was way to sweet for a Norwegian.
The Line exceeded my expectations. Lakeview and walkable to both Downtown and SoCo. Phenomenal food. Outstanding service. Beautiful modern room. Sexy pool. P6, Arlo Grey, and Veracruz restaurants all located in hotel and absolutely delish.
Stayed at the Line hotel in June 2026 for our anniversary! Thank you to Carolina at the front desk for the warm welcome and the room upgrade! We booked through Hotels.com and were eligible for an upgrade and a few perks. The room was the “Bridge Suite” on the seventh floor. It had 3 spacious sets of windows overlooking town lake. At sunset it was a perfect place to see the bats fly. (The only drawback to this room was that it had one view that overlooked the AC/maintenance area below, but this did not bother me). The pool was crowded on a Saturday afternoon but there was not much of a line at the bar. I appreciated the fresh made Paloma (instead of a pre-mixed concentrate) and a “light pour” on such a hot day! Veracruz tacos are the best in the city but order them before you get super hungry because they take a while. Certainly worth the wait! The suite was spacious and had a bar area and large bathroom with double sinks. This is the place to stay in Austin because of the view of town lake! The Four Seasons next door has the same view but is prohibitively too expensive in my opinion. We ordered room service in the morning and it arrived on time and was very delicious. The açaí bowl was amazing. Even the maintenance crew was friendly and we made sure to leave a tip. We did not eat at Arlo Grey this time but have before. The reason to eat at Arlo Grey is to enjoy the big windows overlooking the water. The AC was icy cold. Definitely enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back!
The hotel was fine. When we walked into our king room suite with a lake view, the room as a whole looked nice. Looking out the window was disappointing. From the title of the room, you would expect a view of the lake, however do not be surprised if you are only staring at the top of a roof and the air conditioning units on it. The small portion of the lake that we could see did not live up to the expectation of the room name. When looking at the room with more details, it was not clean. The walls and baseboards were noticeably dirty, stains on the couch, stained towels and a robe with blood stains on the inside. The bed was noticeably dirty great either. The box spring was visible when looking down at the top of the bed. I believe better bed comfort could be found at another hotel in Austin. The pool was very crowded and we only learned after that was due to the hotel offering day passes to non hotel guests, so don’t expect to find a chair at this small pool that is open to the public. The pool water was also noticeably dirty. Overall the only thing going for this hotel is the history of the building and the aesthetic appealing to the individuals who travel to Austin. I understand why the property was foreclosed and taken over by the bank, this is a hotel that people go to once and never come back to. This is a two star review only due to the front desk employee who was very nice when we arrived. I would suggest the Hyatt regency to anyone considering staying here.
The LINE Hotel has a fun “vibe”! The food and drink options were excellent - from the easy in and out coffee cafe to the upscale restaurants and rooftop bar there is something for everyone. Stayed for a family wedding and relaxed by the pool with kids and adult groups. Location is perfect for easy access to Austin’s food and bar scene. Highly recommend.
