Pros:

The bed was amazing, the staff was amazing, they should get a raise and retire. They were kind and attentive, with excellent English.

Cons:

That I should've stayed longer because of how good it was. I think about this hotel every day of my life.

Only caveat is that the aperol spritz should be twice the size.

Pros:

I’ve stayed in Kyoto 4 times and this was by far the best hotel for us! The location was fabulous as we like to explore and be close enough to the happening city life yet not be inundated by all the noise of the city. The staff helped us book an express bus to our next destination which was incredibly helpful! The breakfast was not included but it was delicious. The public baths were absolutely incredible. Our whole family slept solidly! What great value for a lovely experience!

Great hotel, nice design, good value for money and not too far from the city center
Pros:

The rooms were well designed, good size, big beds. Onsen at the hotel was a great feature.

原本我們想請櫃台幫忙打電話訂一個甜點，他們面有難色，用日文交頭接耳，不知所措。後來跟我們說店家沒開，請我們試著去百貨公司買。結果我們自己去店裡一下就買到了。這件事讓我對日本人服務精神使命必達的印象大打折扣。

Absolute perfection — a touch of luxury in Kyoto! (10/10)

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment you step inside, the hotel feels incredibly luxurious yet deeply welcoming.
The Highlights: Having a maiko experience at the hotel gave our stay an amazing, authentic extra touch. Plus, the breakfast buffet was easily the absolute best out of all the hotels we visited during our trip! If you are looking for a flawless and beautiful base in Kyoto, this is it. We loved every second!

מלון מהמם. תמורה נהדרת למחיר. המון פרטים שמקרבים לחוויה היפנית. מההופעות של המאיקו אחר הצהריים, עד לאונסן של המלון ואפילו התה מאצה בחדר עם המקצף במבו. צוות קשוב וזמין לכל צורך. מיקום מעולה. נהננו מאוד מהשהות. ובילינו בו 6 ימים!

Felt very luxurious, very comfortable beds. Will go there again.
Pros:

Location was very good, the room felt very luxurious and had enough space (chose the big room). It was quiet. Bed was one of the best I had in all of Japan, very comfortable. Will go there again.

Cons:

We only booked breakfast once, but compared to other hotels we didn't like it as much. For me (pick-y eater), the selection was too small. Other people from out group liked it more. Check out the pictures to see if you like the food variety before booking breakfast for the whole stay. Or order it once at the location to decide. Food quality was good, only variety was my issue.

Also about cleanliness. There were bathtowels which had stains on them. All were always freshly washed, but there were some with old stains which can not be washed out anymore. Some were also a bit torn on the edges. I'd recommend to throw out old ones instead of keeping them. There are probably enough new ones, since every day we got new towels. Would fit the luxurious vibe of the hotel better. I still liked it there overall.
