Pros:

We were given an upgrade and stayed in the Vienna room, lovely room with city view. The staff were very attentive and lovely and friendly, breakfast was very good there wasn't anything not to like about the Castle.

Cons:

It maybe hard to find if you do not use the hotel transfer service and there are lots of steps which wasn't a problem for us but would be unsuitable if you have mobility issues,

Sublime, espectacular
Pros:

Todo es perfecto, sublime, es el mejor lugar en el que he tenido la suerte de hospedarme,lugar con encanto, con carisma, con historia, su relación calidad precio inmejorable , su ubicación y el trato recibido por el staff hacen que esta sea la mejor opción de la ciudad, volveremos seguro.
Gracias especialmente a Tamari por sus atenciones y su trato excelente, nos ayudaron a todo, el desayuno muy variado y cafa día diferente. Es un lugar sencillamente mágico.

Pros:

Incredible, unique stay! It the middle with old Tbilisi, located on a hill and has a beautiful view of the city. The pool is 24/7 so we were able to take a midnight swim. Breakfast was simple but good. The communication with hotel staff was superb via Viber and phone calls. Check in was seamless. Would stay here again!

Pros:

The property is beautifully decorated. It is around the attractions. The staircase near the hotel leads to Mother of Georgia Statue. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very beautiful. The breakfast was weirdly different but still good.

Disappointing stay
Pros:

The swimming pool.

Cons:

To be honest this place was disappointing and offered bad value for money. Where should I start?
* The wi-fi connection was very poor and I ended up having to use my own data most of the time. I complained, but was inadvertently told it is "the weather".
* The picture shows washing machine, but there is none. Also no dry rack for clothes.
* Also: No stovetop, no oven and no TV, as was listed.
* Aircon was very poor. Had some sweaty and uncomfortable nights.
* Little privacy, unless you keep the door and curtain closed (no windows). Right on the street, where tourists walk past all the time.
* Place is stuffy, with little natural air and feels like you are living in a cave. Very dark.
* Breakfast was average.

Much better accommodation to be had in Tbilisi!

Going to Georgia was a 10-year anniversary trip for me and my wife, and this hotel ruined it.
Pros:

Interesting building, good location for us.

Cons:

This hotel is a scam, they charged us twice for the stay, as well as adding on additional fees that we don't recognise. No response from the property, booking.com customer service completely useless. DO NOT STAY HERE. IT'S A SCAM. I now have to request a chargeback through my bank as a final hope. Thank god I didn't pay cash as they requested.

Breakfast was inedible for the most part.

The floor of the room is covered in fine dust, hasn't been cleaned properly in a very long time.

Service in general is poor, upon arrival they left me standing out in the rain for 20 minutes at 7am while I waited to collect keys for the room.

Supposed to include a free airport transfer, they ended up charging 60 lari (3x the normal rate from the airport) and then I had to share the car with two other guests.

Service was mostly poor, the majority of the staff were very disinterested and lazy throughout, and there seemed to be little organisation.

I've never left a bad review before but this was the worst hotel I've ever experienced, a complete disaster. Furthermore, the price that they charge for this 'experience' is quite high in comparison to others in the area.

Do yourself a big favour and choose a different hotel in Tbilisi, which is an amazing city.

The location was fantastic. You walk right into old town. But the property itself is a bohemian, repurposed castle difficult to navigate with terribly odd-sized rooms and luxury it certainly was not.

A Unique location and property. We stayed in the largest suite which sadly has been decorated rather oddly (leather sofas and a giant chandelier that belongs in a beach resort in Tulum not in an ancient Georgian castle) The second bed in the suite was lumpy and uncomfortable. However the staff was polite, the pool unique and the location/ambiance was incredible. Just for the experience of staying in a hotel that old, I would recommend it.

The worst hotel in the world!
Pros:

It is the worst hotel I have ever been for the last 30 years.
In internet it is written that there is Aeroport Transfer included, BUT it is not.
The room was dirty. There were hair all over my bed.
The hotel !!!doesn’t accept !!!!credit cards!!! They cannot give you invoice!
The room was designed with some strange Chinese sculptures which didn’t fit at all.
The guests cannot enter the hotel in the evenings with the card, but instead need to ring a bell and hope someone will hear them.
Breakfast was small, not enough and looks like from the day before

We stayed in a castle
Pros:

We stayed in the Luxury Quadruple Room and it is an experience. The room is huge and feels like you have been transported back centuries to the days of Knights and princesses.
The service is amazing and the staff is incredibly helpful. Tamari, Beqa Ioseb, and
Toko did everything to make our stay magical.

Pros:

Giant room, nicely decorated.

The hotel looks like a museum, beautiful decoration. The pool it the top of the castle is amazing, with views of all the city. Lot of space and viewpoints around the castle garden.

Perfect attention from all the workers in the hotel, specially to Giorgi and Tornike, who were really helpful and kind with us.

Very good breakfast, delicious and good variety.

Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at castle in old town. It was a very relaxed and unique experience.
The stairs up to the entrance were effortful but you can’t stay half way up a mountain without a few steps. Trust me. The view is worth it. The steps justified the hearty food and good wine we enjoyed.
At the castle we enjoyed the unhurried breakfasts and living amongst the history of Georgia. Every room, wall, artefact was unique and intriguing.
We spent much time at the pool deck high above the castle looking out over the roof tops. Quite spectacular.
Thank you Georgi ?? & Trovike (hope I’ve spelt that right) and the lovely young lady who’s name I fail to remember. In fact all the staff ensured our needs were met and our stay was most pleasurable.
Tbilisi is a city that grows on you. An eclectic mix of old and new but everywhere we went there was a welcome and a vibe that would draw you back.
Definitely worth exploring on foot. There are so many nooks and crannies.
We took a day trip with a private driver out to the mountains which was a long day but worth it. The hotel arranged this for us.

A wonderful last weekend in Georgia
Pros:

Staying in the castle was a unique experience. The room felt grandiose and the price quality ratio (coming from the Netherlands) made it even better. The pool was amazing after a long walk through Tbilisi on a hot summer day. It's not a heated pool, but we found it refreshing.
The staff was friendly and helpful. We had to check out at 4am, and we received a superb service from Toko who was on his night shift and Vaso who like a true champion helped us with our luggage.
We booked a transfer to the airport through the hotel. It was more expensive than Bolt, but the service was hassle free at 4am. Thumbs up.
The lady who greeted us at the reception was also great and always ready to help. We left our luggage in the locker room before we could check in (thanks to Vaso again!). At the check in time we were told that our luggage is already in our room. It was a very nice gesture.

Cons:

The breakfast was good, maybe I would just have wished for more fresh fruit. We know there is an abundance of nice and diverse fresh fruits and berries in Georgia.
The pool area was great, to make it perfect we would have loved to see sunbeds that stretch out fully for a proper chill. We only spent around 1h per day at the pool, so it was good enough. It would have also been great to have at least a mini bar for cold drinks and a snack.
The rooms were very clean, but the little outside terrace needed a sweep, there were some cigarette bugs that some (awful) people left behind the plant pots.
