Great location, lovely staff but accommodation disappointing and not good value for money.
Pros:

Excellent location for centre of Liverpool and tourist attractions, good restaurants within easy walking distance. Staff, without exception, were a delight. Nothing was too much trouble, genuinely nice people.

Cons:

The hotel is tired and our room, at the top ( 53 stairs up five flights - no lift ) was very hot indeed during a spell of very hot weather, with totally inadequate ventilation. The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, en suite bathroom facilities poor ( lacking a shelf near the basin so where do you put a toothbrush ? Likewise no soap dish in the shower - all basic stuff in a hotel room anywhere at this price ). No meals available, we're happy to eat out in the evening but it would be nice to be able to have breakfast on site. In theory, breakfast may be available in the adjacent Italian restaurant. In practice, it was never open at that time of the day during our visit.

The location, nice decor, real value for money. The receptionist Wainas & Gill are very welcoming, friendly, informative & helpful, amazing, best receptionist I have met on my travels

Great location, nice clean room but small guess it was reasonably priced

One sweaty night stay
Pros:

Location to Albert dock.

Cons:

Rooms where far too hot. Had to change room as the loft room was like a furnace, No fridge in room, towels were frayed on eyes, holes in them and two different sizes. Grubby carpets. Decor didnt look finsihed (tiles around door). Dust from having a circulation fan all night, made my asthma kick off.

I'll be back!
Pros:

Second time staying here, first under the new management.

Location is ideal, our room was fantastic - spacious and clean, with everything we could possibly need.

Had a very decent sleep, even with front facing windows the noise wasn't too loud and the bed was comfy, although it could do with a bed bridge.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing to dislike here.

Pros:

Hotel staff were amazing from the start. Let me check in early. Excepted a parcel for me. Everything was brilliant

Cons:

My room was on the top floor which was absolutely boiling. Had to buy a fan to cool the room down which didn't help much

Pros:

Clean rooms , central location and easy access to amenities.

Cons:

No AC which can be an issue in very hot summers. Expensive considering no breakfast included and no free parking on site.

We had a very enjoyable stay. A lovely room on the ground floor at the back of the hotel so quiet.

Cons:

Other guests were very noisy all night.
Bedsheets very clean but very worn out
But it's good to reuse bedlinen in a climate crisis!
