Close to town.
Too old, too cold when we came in would appreciate if heaters were turned on as we came in late but we did let them know we were coming in late
L accueil était chaleureux. L emplacement parfait.
La chambre très comfortable. La cuisine bien equipee et très propre
More sheets on bed
Lovely people, great stay. Always got fresh towels at my door and very laid back people! Good price and bed was very comfy!
The lights in the bathroom didn’t work very well but I worked around it!
Location is great. In its heyday probably the centre of Alex. It was very cheap and a last-minute stop for us. Staff were friendly and the bar/pub is great. Each guest was provided with clean towels and a bar of soap.
There was a lot of noise from other guests for a good portion of the night. The twin room was incredibly small, the toilet and shower down the hall were very aged.
Very good value for money. Nice staff. Clean
Is a 1star hotel due to age & condition but the right price for budget accommodation.
Definitely not a 4 star as listed.
Broken light fixture, no electrical tags on any appliances.
Staff member friendly.
False star rating: 1 star, not 4 stars.
Tired & worn.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The toilet had noticeable mold which affected the cleanliness of the bathroom. It may be due to the lack of an exhaust fan as moisture can easily build up and encourage mold growth. The room was also not warm enough especially during the winter so improving the heating would make it much more comfortable for guests. I hope these issues can be addressed, as they would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
location is good, great view of the river. Staff were welcoming and requested if we wanted to see the room prior to paying. Kitchen facilities were clean.
I understood what we were booking although did expect it to be as bad as what we did have. The linen on the beds were clean and didn't feel dirty. Although the Bathroom walls and ceiling was covered in mold and the heater provided for the room made no difference. An alright stay for one night, or for a truck stop but wouldn't stay any longer. Was also charged $20 more than the original booking price of $100. (This should really be a $60-80 stay a night).
The location was good.
the ensuite facility was horrific, it had mold on the ceiling, paint peeling off the walls, the extractor fan vent was full of debris. My son commented he would rather use the new public toilet facility across the road.
I was the only one there for first few days. It was like being on the set of The Shining. I like that film. It is between seasons so I expect that when it snows there are more people.
I did like having a kitchen to use. And I like the no frills aspect. Parking on the street was ok too.
A bit pricey compared to other hotels that I stay at. It does look like different agencies all charge a different rate for the same thing. Also I couldn't find out how to do the checkout. In the end I left the key in the door of the room. I lefet at 8am on the day but there was no one at the hotel till 10:30 or 11 am and I couldn't find a phone number anywhere. It looks like there is no direct phone number for the hotel. The doors to the outside were on a keycode and that was good. Saved having an extra key.
It was very basic
If you’re staying for business, don’t bother, they’re unable to provide an invoice of any kind. Not sure they understand their responsibilities as a business
Fairly cheap relative to most places, but the current state of the place reflects that - has definitely passed its days of glory and is in need of some restoration and refurbishment. Looks like it used to be a nice place back in the day, and it's close to the river and central town.
Quite a lot of damaged, and/or dirty facilities. Everything worked, but was not in a good condition. Wi-fi was weak in the room I stayed in, but was fine in the guest lounge area
Staff were good, location is amazing. View from windows was great.
Very dirty, beds were not comfortable at all.
Hotel has bed bugs, my legs are covered with bug bites.
Very dirty, blankets seems like haven’t been washed in over many years.
I was soo uncomfortable that I had to leave in early morning unfortunately.
