While it was clean in all the ways we would need, it could use some cleaning to get rid of cobwebs etc inside (eg in the bathroom).

Abluft im Restaurant nicht vorhanden. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig und Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstück (Buffet) sehr bescheiden und für das zusätzlich mögliche, auswählbare Frühstück mussten wir 40 Minuten warten. Kaffee nach Abendessen nicht möglich ( ebenfalls kein frisch gebrühter Kaffee beim Früstück - Kaffeebohnen waren aus 😨)

Stayed here on my wedding night, I’m local to Fort William but wanted to have something special on a special day. Was disappointed with the customer service. I had put in my booking requests it was my wedding night and had told the staff when I arranged to have my mum drop off my luggage that it was because it was my wedding night. This wasn’t acknowledged AT ALL not even by the night receptionist when me and my husband were stood in front of him, literally in my wedding dress. Not a single congratulations or even a smile, just awkwardly asked what time we wanted breakfast. There was nothing in the room about it either. It’s just a bit crap when you’ve paid £300 to stay down the road from your house and there’s nothing to make it feel special at all. I wasn’t expecting rose petals or anything but just some acknowledgment and maybe a smile. I felt like all the staff apart from at breakfast were really awkward, it doesn’t reflect the price point or the look of the place at all. I had grown up thinking the Lime Tree was one of the nicer hotels in Fort William but sadly my stay didn’t reflect this. The decor of the room was also a bit tired and the bed uncomfortable.

Premier breakfast, nous avons attendu 45 minutes pour avoir ce que nous avions commandé.
Deuxième breakfast, plus rien à manger, le buffet n'est pas réapprovisionné (voir photo). Des clients ont attendu 20 minutes pour avoir des toasts! Chambre pas nettoyée malgré la panneau demandant de nettoyer la chambre.
A notre arrivée, les flacons de savon, shampooing et gel douche était presque vides. Le flacon de gel douche avait déjà été allongé à l'eau par les personnes qui ont séjourné avant nous. Rien n'a été réapprovisionné. Voir photos

Il bagno è stato il vero punto debole: all’arrivo abbiamo trovato la finestra aperta e solo dopo averla chiusa abbiamo capito il motivo, perché si è subito avvertito un forte e sgradevole odore di muffa. Erano visibili anche tracce di muffa sulla vasca e sulla finestra e, visto l’odore intenso, abbiamo avuto l’impressione che il problema potesse essere più esteso; leggendo le recensioni, abbiamo visto che anche altri ospiti lo avevano già segnalato. Alla mattina, dopo che il bagno era rimasto chiuso durante la notte, l’odore era diventato davvero insopportabile e anche piuttosto preoccupante. Non ci è piaciuta neppure l’organizzazione della colazione: all’arrivo ci è stato comunicato che bisognava prenotare una fascia oraria perché venivano accettate solo tre camere alla volta. Il primo orario delle 7:30 (eravamo abituati a poter far colazione già alle 7:00) era già completo e abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare posto alle 7:45, mentre l’altra possibilità era addirittura alle 9:30. Se avessimo voluto fare colazione alle 7:30, avremmo potuto usufruire soltanto del buffet, rinunciando alla parte calda. Per chi viaggia come turista e ha spostamenti e visite già prenotati, questo sistema è poco pratico: se la colazione è indicata dalle 7:30, ci si aspetta di poter fare una colazione completa da quell’ora. Inoltre, la parte a buffet era piuttosto deludente, mentre la parte calda, buona, andava scelta e ordinata al momento, con ulteriore attesa. Sarebbe utile almeno raccogliere l’ordine la sera prima e, soprattutto, informare di questo sistema già al momento della prenotazione, così da poter riservare in anticipo l’orario desiderato. Nel complesso, considerando anche questi problemi, la struttura non valeva assolutamente il prezzo pagato: 296 euro per una sola notte.

Room for three persons is not comfortable at all. Room is too small, but on the other side extremely big bathroom. Although nice and big bathroom, missing mirror is problem.

Malheureusement nous avions une chambre au-dessus du restaurant très bruyant (éclats de voix, bruits de vaisselle..). Et comme nous nous couchions tôt car nous marchons beaucoup, cela a été compliqué de s'endormir. Mauvaise isolation phonique aussi avec tous les bruits de couloir, personnes qui parlent, enfants qui crient, portes qui claquent. En soi rien de dramatique mais le rapport qualité-prix n'est pas justifié.
