We loved the view from the balcony overlooking the marina .
No reception, you go to the bar and tell the bar staff you’ve arrived. The carpet on the stairs going up to our room was threadbare and the walls were scuffed and grubby. The room was really warm and the bathroom floor was hot to walk on. No controls to turn underfloor heating off. All the furniture surfaces were sticky. The bath mat was dirty. The continental breakfast was very basic. Small cereal boxes, a few pastries and toast if we requested, fruit juice and tea or coffee. No cheeses or meats.
Over looking the marina was nice. 2 fans in the room which were needed as no air con.
Paid £85 for the room which is good value.
Didn't like the parking as unsure if I should have paid or not as I didn't see the bays until I came back later that day. The lady on the bar who checked us in just asked where we had parked and said it was ok.
It was really hot in the room, be nice if they had closed to curtains to try and keep it cool and cleaned the fans they left for us.
Only little things and would stay there again but maybe not in the summer months.

I loved the large bathroom with choice of a shower and bath. The room was large and stylish and clean. It was nice getting up on a sunny morning and having a balcony to sit on with a cup of tea. The location was good and the breakfast was great.
The only thing we didn't like was our balcony was right over the bar and it wasn't very private and noisy with it being a warm Friday night but otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Lift out of action
It was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The view over the harbour is exceptional. The staff go out of their way to help in any way they can. Will definitely stay here again when booking my next cruise from Southampton.

We have stayed here a number of times and always the rooms are very good. If you get the chance book Room 1 which has a wrap around balcony.
Room was very hot. I think making the bathroom window to be able to open would help the airflow.3

Great location in a beautiful little marina and just a short walk into the town.
Restaurant closed as I arrived so needed to go elsewhere for an evening meal.

The hotel itself was okay, but the breakfast experience was very disappointing.
When we arrived for breakfast, almost everything was gone. There was no butter, no juice, no bread for toast, and many other items were missing. We waited over 10 minutes, but nothing was refilled.
What made the situation even worse was that after we finished our tea, another couple came in for breakfast, and only then did the manager start bringing out fresh food. It felt as if other guests were treated better, while we were simply ignored.
In addition, the tables were not cleared, so the dining area looked untidy and unpleasant. The manager was also unfriendly and unhelpful.
If a hotel advertises a continental breakfast, it should be properly prepared for all guests, not just the first people who arrive. Every guest deserves the same standard of service. Unfortunately, this experience left us very disappointed.

Wir hatte ein tolles Zimmer, mit einem kleinen Balkon mit einem fantastischen Blick auf den Yachthafen, den Parkplatz und der Schiffspassage von / nach Southampton. Im Haus gibt es ein Restaurant mit einer schönen Terrasse. Bushaltestelle nach Southampton ca. 2 Minuten vom Hotel.
Price and location for what we needed was great. We were on a cruise so for 1 night this was great for us, and the wife saw the cruise ship coming in early morning.
Didn't eat in the evening but only because we arrived very late, breakfast the next morning was very good and staff very helpful
It needs a bit of a refresh. Its perfectly clean but is very tired. Frayed carpets on the stairwells and the windows had black marks in frames.

No lift, 3 flights of stairs, large suitcase left downstairs, room 8 was in the converted roof, boiling HOT, windows not opened prior to check in to allow some air. Fan not much good inthat heat, fridge struggled to stay cool, melted onto my consumables! Sat outside till nearly midnight for air, nervous to say out after last guest checked in and staff went home. Tried to rest under windows in the room....unhealthy for the heart! Room way too hot to rent out to unsuspecting guests...should have some level of effective cooling for these heatwaves as we know now, they can occur.
