Lovely little find. Staff were nice and beds comfortable. Even had a fridge. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but the food look really nice.
Mirrors dusty and we had a dirty ashtray on the balcony that hadn’t been cleaned.
Location
We had booked over a year ago. When arriving it became obvious that there was a private wedding event. We had not been told about this at any point. Whilst booking in at the bar (this was where the sign said to book in) one of the wedding guests told us to go as it was private and that we should leave. Well we explained we were residents. The bar and restaurant were unavailable to us but we could eat next door at the Indian restaurant, we were told. We paid a good amount for a most uncomfortable stay.
I still have a sore head from bumping my head on the ceilings of the bedroom which had the bed placed in a really low ceilinged area.
The continental breakfast bar buffet was cramped and small choice of food available, but adequate - but I didn’t realise there was no included cooked breakfast - so no protein available without further cost.
I gave fair as my overall comment and feel that was generous but will not aim to stay again as one cannot trust that one will pay £153.00 for such a unwelcoming and embarrassing experience where there is a private event stopping the enjoyment. Not happy.
Great location
The fact that the venue was booked out for a wedding and no food was available onsite was poor. We had wedding guests approaching us and telling us we couldn't be there when we were booking in. Why were we not contacted to advise ??? We felt like interopers...

I had booked a superior double room
Allocated room 7, which did not feel superior. A pillar in the middle of the room was tricky..
The shower room floor was in need of repair, it felt spongy.
No coffee machine, just a kettle and coffee sachet. The desk top was sticky :-(
Breakfast rubbish nothing available to us after 8.30 only toast that was even forgotten to be served.

Room was very nice and clean.Nicely appointed.
Lift was not working. Quite a few surly staff, men especially, apart from Carlos the chef. There was reluctant assistance to assist in carrying suitcases to upper floors. I am elderly, and I got the feeling that most of the staff felt it wasn't on their job description. Despite having a "do not disturb" on my door, access had been gained by staff, as I had set the blinds to keep the sun out of the room during the heatwave, and when I returned they had been fully opened. As an Australian, I am very aware of how to keep the room cool during very warm weather.

Shower drain in room 10 needs cleaning...water was almist overflowing onto bathroom floor.
