Toilet had faeces under the toilet seat had to clean the toilet. Bit rundown needs updating. Floor round shower was rotten not very safe
There toilet had crap under the seat we had to clean it off. It was a bit run down needs upgrading
No breakfast served. The room was adequate but somewhat overpriced, but when it is the only one available at the last minute you have to take it. It is not luxury by any means, but it was clean and had the basics. Shower room was good.
Very strangely given how hot is was when I arrived, the central heating was on and the room was like a sauna. I switched off the radiators and opened the windows, and then had the noise from the local boy racers accelerating out of the village.

Location was convenient for my needs.
Despite the fact this is a pub with rooms it does not serve food. Even when sign outside says "food served". I was advised by the host to use takeaway or drive 3 miles to the neatest place that serves food.

Location
I stayed in a 2 bed flat owned by the Bridge Inn, situated a short walk away. Lovely top floor flat with secure entry, great views, very spacious, light and so cozy (I stayed in January). Close to amenities like shops, cafes, buses and wonderful walks. If the owners installed the internet I'd definitely stay again and for longer.
The kitchen wasn't very well equiped (no sieve or colander and limited food prep knives) but that could easily be fixed with a trip to Ikea.
However, the biggest improvement would be having the internet installed in the flat, then it would attract people wanting to stay for longer or who were travelling for business.
Breakfast is not available but that is clear from the start and reflected in a very fair price. Plenty of coffee shops nearby
The staff explained fully that there is a major extension planned to accommodate better access. Therefore when they do this in 2026 it will allow them to upgrade the rooms. So, improvements are in the way!
