The staff were lovely, Check in and Checkout was smooth and efficient and the atmosphere relaxing, with a pleasant aroma from essential oils throughout the hotel. The room was very quiet and private.
The food choices did not accommodate vegetarian food The bed was a bit firm. We were surprised and disappointed that the taxi the hotel organised to take us to the airport was considerably more expensive than the amount quoted to us by the hotel staff when the booking was made which was 7000-8000 yen but it was 11500 on arrival at the airport with a no delay transfer.

The hotel is extremely overrated.
Was not worth the money. The beds were absolutely rock hard, usually when choosing a more western hotel you expect decent comfortable beds, the beds for a stand room were basically a double bed. Not even a queen bed.
The Japanese bath was disappointing, there didn’t seem like enough water in the baths so actually submerged your body, after doing more traditional onsent this was frustrating; also there are no towels at the bath, so you have to use your one for the room then ask for more towels when you go back to your room after the bath. The bar at the hotel is pretty small and does not match the photos, and is extremely expensive. The location was great but our overall experience was not. It was our honeymoon too.
There was a light that’s was automatic too that went on if someone got up to go to the bathroom.
The staff were lovely but absolutely disappointed especially for the price we paid. This is our second trip to Japan and have had a lot better experiences at other hotels.
