The music from thd bar made a thud thud beat in our bedroom all afternoon until 10pm which wasn't very pkeasant.

despite ringing the bell on several occasion in the morning the day staff did not appear.

I had emailed ahead to ask about an early check in. Unfortunately this was not available when we got there.
We had a birthday lunch to attend, so got back to the hotel around 6.30 to check in. I had booked a twin room, and for a reason. However, by 6.30 the twins had gone and they only had a double left!!!! Not ideal.
There was no hot water for a shower the following morning.
Breakfast, to be honest, was a joke. Something that could have been jam, lumps of butter floating in water, cling film covered really cheap ham that was sweating due to the weatner6, croissants with soggy bottoms, poor fruit selection - no fresh fruit - and sweet flavoured yoghurts.
A slice of toast was all I could eat - and didn't want to risk one questionable jam!
I shall stay elsewhere next time.

We stayed in room14 and in the morning wanted to shower but found that there was no hot water from the shower, so tried to settle for a strip wash only to find that the sink plug did not hold water in the sink, then tried to fill the spa bath and one of the taps fell of and again not hot water.

You should be aware that it is a continental breakfast offering which I do not have a problem with but it is not serviced so when things run out they are not replaced. you are asked to clear tab the evening before you leave as reception is unmanned in the morning.
This meant that when we went to tell the hotel of the problems we had had in our room so that the next occupant would suffer the same as we had, we did find a young lady there who did not seem to interested but she may not have been a receptionist.

Taking all this into account it would not stop us revisiting the hotel again, we would check for hot water on arrival though.

The breakfast could have been better
My particular bed was noisy but comfortable

Coffee machine faulty. The shower needs a wand attachment. The breakfast was boring. The water for tea and coffee was luke warm. NO marmalade? No atmosphere. Needs some unobtrusive background music in the dining room

The facilities! No cold for brushing teeth, boiling hot , a bad smell and very dated

No hot water in shower.
Breakfast buffet was not restocked so when we arrived there was hardly anything to eat.
No tables to sit at as they hadn’t been cleared. No staff around to deal with matters.

I’m guessing we were unfortunate to be there when the hotel was short staffed? There was no one to check in with on arrival- the hotel had to be searched for them! There were no staff when we checked out & there were no staff at breakfast!
When we arrived for breakfast, the limited option was even more limited - as many of the plates & the coffee were empty - so we made do with what scraps were left!
The tables hadn’t been cleared, so we cleared one ourselves & had to find some cutlery that hadn’t been used yet on used tables.
I’m guessing we were just there on a bad weekend.

Lack of staff presence apart from the lovely receptionist who was very pleasant on arrival and check in.
Breakfast was poor - no one to greet you or take your room number- could have just walked in off the street. Food on offer was open to the elements so not hygienic and was a minimum selection and tables weren’t cleared after use. One couple even had to find cutlery and crockery to have their breakfast. No one to help them until
a cleaner had to be asked to replenish everything.
When we checked out there was no one there to acknowledge you were leaving so asked a passing staff member who just said leave your key there. There was no “have you had a pleasant stay” I think the customer service needs looking into for the above comments as it’s a beautiful place but very lacking in customer service

Breakfast selection was a bit poor.

Nothing.

Advised kitchen was closed, but was recommend places to eat, and inforned the bar closed at 10.
I walked to the recommendef Italion and returned at 9:45...bar closed.
Slept well.
Breakfast....white bread mouldy, milk sour. Toast with brown bread, filtered coffee heater was off.
I had to search for a member of staff found housekeeping. Told her about the milk. She took the large jug away, returned with another 10 minutes later, it was still off. Breakfast constisted of a slice of toast and cold coffee.
Left 30 minutes later, still no one on reception.
Looks nice would not return.wh

It was very hot when we stayed and the room was very very warm (no AC). The noise from the road was quite loud all night.

It was really hot during our stay and though we were able to open the window, there was no way to keep it open.

The shower head badly needs cleaning as it was just mainly dribbling out but also spraying all over the bathroom resulting in the whole room including clothing, toilet rolls and towels getting wet through. We had to mop the floor up with the towels. Also the temperature control on the shower makes no difference if you try to alter it! Should have been checked before we were booked into the room as it was unusable!

The milk needs to be kept cool during the breakfast period as warm milk and cereals are not a good mix.
