Small but you can relax.
Pros:

We used the executive room which is very expensive it's a nice room with balcony.small but

Great stay and a great find.
Pros:

Ease of parking, spacious room, attentive and friendly staff plus great breakfast and nice ambiance.

Cons:

The mattress and pillows were a bit too firm for me but I accept it is a matter of taste. All else was very nice.

Lovely hotel but don't rely on ev charger
Pros:

Spa, breakfast and dinner were amazing.

Cons:

EV charger didn't work on debit card and other option you couldn't sign up to unless your were a company or your employer has signed up so couldn't charge our car which would have been convenient. Also charging £8 per night for car park just because we booked with Booking.com. we wouldn't have found the hotel without bookings.com so felt this was unfair.

The hotel is overpriced. The room was expensive but everything additional was expensive as well.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable. The room was a good size. Staff were helpful.

Cons:

The shower had no power along with being in the bath. It also leaked over the floor.
There was a varied breakfast, but if you wanted an omelette or eggs benidict, there is an additional charge. Not good for a 4 star hotel when you have already paid for breakfast.
I booked with Booking.com. Within 4 minutes of booking, I received a call from the Heywood Hotel asking me to cancel my booking and re-book directly with them; I would get 20% discount and free parking. This was not possible so no discount and £8/ night for parking.
We considered eating in the evening at the hotel, but it was overpriced.
