No heaters on and I was cold all through the night
Very enjoyable meal in restaurant attached to the property.
Very small room, bed was very soft and only a double size
Excellent friendly and professional service. Great little Indian restaurant downstairs that I would recommend for dinner. Room was very clean and the bed had a firm mattress which I like. The ensuite had a lovely bath. Sometimes the WiFi worked, sometimes it didn't. That's where the positives end.
The fact that you cannot sleep! This is not so much as hotel as a pub with rooms, and I don't mean that unkindly, because it is true. It is located on an extremely busy main road along which rumble continuous HGVs, tankers and trucks 24/7. The noise is one thing - good earplugs can block this out if you are sleeping at the back of the building - however, the very foundations of the place shake continually. As a result, I was continually shaken awake. I slept 2.5 hours on the first night. I was convinced I would be so exhausted that I would sleep the following night. And I did. A whole 4 hours. I then checked out because unless you are a super heavy sleeper then you will not get much sleep here, unfortunately.
Plenty of natural light in the morning
The property has a distance smell of cigarettes. The hotel is so close to the road that the entire room VIBRATES with every lorry that drives past all night long. Over night it gets worst as the traffic speeds as it’s late.
Reception offered a half-baked apology which lacked basic sincerity. No attempt to rectify, couldn’t even be bothered to check the messages sent on Booking.com. (No staff over night)
Poor stay, poor customer service and the room seemed a little grubby. Would not recommend.

Bit away from City center, but still easy to reach by bus, vehicle in 10 mins.
The staff always helpful and friendly. Lovely large room with no noise from the road. Comfy bed and room and facilities very clean. I've stayed here before and will again.
