Loved my room and I look forward to staying there again!
Pros:

I loved my room. The room was very welcoming. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. The shower was amazing.

Cons:

The breakfast room did not seem to be available. I saw someone walk out with a cup of coffee but the only food I could see was cereal. The room was empty. Very disappointed.

Stayed 2 nights instead of 3.
Pros:

Request for simple room upkeep and face towels were never put in computer, and parking was most inconvenient. No help from desk attendent.
Asked on 2nd day 4 different people for such and 3 informed me it was not in computer. I would defiinitely rate this a a 2 sttar hotel.

Cons:

SEE ABOVE COMMENT.

We love the Weyanoke and have stayed there on numerous occasions.
Pros:

Nice room. Great location. Receptionist very helpful as we checked out (printing some stuff) All staff friendly. Sitting out on the veranda having coffee in the sunshine.

Cons:

Breakfast tidied away whilst we were still eating even though only 0930.

Room was convenient, but should have been left empty until it was aired out and dry.
Pros:

Close to downtown, friendly staff

Cons:

The room smelled like vomit and mildew, and there were wet spots on the carpet with red stains, that by Monday morning still weren’t dry.

Black mold in the window in the shower.

Mixed bag but the location made it a good stay
Pros:

Great location across from Longwood University and easy walk to downtown. Rooftop bar was a nice option for a drink at sunset. Friendly staff, especially the young woman working in the breakfast room.

Cons:

The room was very dusty - like no one had ever dusted it. Bedside lamps didn't work. The toiletries were hung upside down - impossible to get anything out of them. Finding an ice machine was quite a challenge - no signage anywhere. The light/fan in the shower was extremely loud and high-pitched. Elevator and halls were hot. Parking lot was below the hotel with lots of stairs to get up to the lobby with a bag. The food at the rooftop bar was not fresh. First impression: very few people were staying on a weekday, however I was still told my room was not ready at 3pm. The check-in time is 4pm - too late in my opinion with a check-out at 11.

Would stay here next time (even though I have family in town).
Pros:

I did not eat the breakfast or drink coffee. Loved the historic charm of the hotel. It was close to the University, restaurants and even a wine bar...where we had a relaxing afternoon. The room was tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable. Oh, and the shower was wonderful!

Will definitely be back!
Pros:

Location to Longwood and downtown. The balcony and room setup is a great feature.

Cons:

Parking situation is really a downside and the fact that it has no pool.
