Breakfast

The hotel is perfectly located just outside the city center (it's less than a 10 minute walk to the main square) making it very quiet. Everything looked like new and extremely clean and neat. The staff is amazing and very helpful in providing guidance and organization for day trips or transport to and from the city. Breakfast is different every day but always delicious and fresh, letting you try a different local delicacy each morning. Would come back for sure!

Hospitable atmosphere, very friendly and customer oriented. Makes it even more special, when you know it supports a great cause! We particularly enjoyed the traditional Oaxacan cooking workshop with Karla and Ita! Thank you for making this a great experience!🤗

The friendliness of the staff.

We discovered Hotel con Corazon via Tripadvisor reviews and knew that this was where we wanted to stay. Not only is the small, boutique hotel architecturally interesting and environmentally conscious, but it is mission based. Indeed, it IS a hotel with heart with 70-80% of their profits going to educate children in Oaxaca.

The whole place felt......soothing!

I loved the painted ceilings in our large, understated and comfortable hotel room and the lovely tile in the big shower in the bathroom. However, I was a little worried about slipping in the shower as there is no bar and the tile is smooth. Perhaps the owners/managers will come up with a way of reducing the chances of that happening to anyone (because sooner or later someone will probably slip and fall :-(
(This was my only complaint.)

Nonetheless, there are light filled terraces and patios that open to the sky --one that is even built around a large tree, if you want to sit and read or just rest after a long day.

The sunny dining area is clean and open and the breakfasts are a gastronomical experience! You can help yourself to cold drinks, beer and wine, from a large refrigerator next to the kitchen using an honor system --sign up sheet.

The staff is helpful and friendly (and very, very patient). Though taxis are easily available, the walk to the city center, to shops, restaurants, art galleries, churches is only 15 minutes by foot.

We really, really enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel and think you might, too.

Aptly named, Hotel con Corazon provides a comfortable stay with the knowledge that your payment is going towards something good. They were exceedingly helpful with my reservation and accommodating when a natural disaster on my home island meant that I had to push travel back. The location is great: close enough to walk to almost anything you want to do in Oaxaca, but far enough out of the Center to add a sense of calm. All the staff are friendly and helpful. And the breakfast! Absolutely fantastic.

location , a little far from the zocalo and center of the city but if you can walk 15 min its ok.
atmosphere , great , really smooth and calm
rooms , clean and big , at least the one i reserved
value , its a little high considerating certain thing
service its great if you ask me about the cookers and cleaning staff ... but the main desk staff.... well if you are from another country like USA o europe its ok. because if you are from yor own country ... lets justa say ,... not so good.
Amenities, in you are from another place thats not your country like mexico .. sure there a lot at high prices .. but if you are from mexico .. they would not even tell you about it. if you are hungry thell give directions on how to get to public mercados or as one of the front desk girls told me.... you can go to the supermarket and buy something to eat there.

Wonderful hotel. All facilities were good, super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has a social impact side too which is nice when you're trying to responsibly visit places that run the risk of gentrification. And breakfasts were so creative and fab!

Came to the kitchen for a cooking class. It was INCREDIBLE! I definitely recommend coming here.
