Prachtige locatie. Kamer was erg klein en basaal. Zwembad was heerlijk en het restaurant was fantastisch, diner en ontbijt.
Drie trappen naar beneden naar het zwembad. De lift was stuk. De whirlpool was stuk en het binnenbad niet open.

Auch, wenn einmal - es war nicht meine erste Übernachtung dort - wenig weitere Gäste übernachten, ist das Frühstücksbuffet vollständig. Es gibt nagelneue Heißgetränkeautomaten mit berührungsempfindlichem Bildschirm. Die Teebeutelsorten haben auch zugenommen.
Ich komme immer wieder wegen der vielen schönen Wandermöglichkeiten mit lohnenden Aussichten und aromatischen Eukalyptuswäldern.
Die Schimmelbekämpfung in den Badezimmern ist gut, aber aus dem Waschbeckenabfluss stieg noch Schimmelsporengeruch auf. Vielleicht bekommen die Bäder irgendwann eine Heizung. Im Sommer oder Herbst war es am schönsten hier: Warme Tage, kühle Nächte.
Os serviços termais estavam encerrados e só avisaram 3 dias antes da viagem o que tornou impossivel alterar a estadia dada a articulação com outras estadias noutros locais. Mas familiares que iam só para as termas nao foram avisados.Acesso dificil para pessoas com mobilidade reduzida e falta de serviço de quartos. Um familiar nao pode ir tomar o pequeno almoço durante 3 dias. Levavamos alguma coisa para comer mas ficou muito prejudicada.
Ter serviço de quartos para pessoas com mobilidade reduzida. As termas são para pessoas com problemas musculares e osseos.....

O restaurante tinha refeições agradáveis e atendimento muito bom.
Toda a estadia foi horrível, Ar condicionado estava sempre na mesma temperatura, não era possível alterar. Na descrição do hotel diz que os WC têm bidé, no quarto luxuoso não havia bidé. Pagando tão caro por uma estadia para utilizar as águas termais e ainda teríamos que pagar 20€ para utilizar a piscina durante 90 minutos, é inadmissível. O pequeno almoço é muito pobre em variedade, só o café é que era bom. A limpeza dos quartos não estava muito bom, encontrou-se formigas e bichinhos similares no quarto. Não aconselho este hotel a ninguém pelo preço que se pagou, teríamos muito melhor com mais condições junto à praia.
Het is prachtig gelegen in het Calde Monchique met mooi gelegen buitenbad. We hebben 3x van een heerlijk diner genoten in het restaurant, waar een nieuwe chef kok de scepter zwaait.
Kamer was comfortabel en had een minibar im iets te kunnen bewaren.
Met de 2 kado winkels, gezellige bar en pizza bakplaats voelde het als een klein dorpje. Prachtig wandelgebied.
Het is hier en daar wat oud, de sauna ligt ergens achterin de tuin gelegen, heb de ingang niet gevonden. Niet verder gezocht omdat ik het bij het zwembad ook fijn vond zitten. Had van de foto begrepen dat er een terras bij de kamer was, maar dat was niet zo.
Het gebied heeft te maken gehad met aardverschuivingen en wateroverlast in Feb 2026. Dat is hier en daar nog zichtbaar.

The location is beautiful, great to walk around and enjoy the scenery. The area where the different buildings are located blurs the line and you don’t really know if you’re in a small village or inside a hotel property - the location is really good. The suite where we stayed was comfy and spacious, the outdoors pool sits in a very relaxing valley, the indoors pool is decently sized and the water temperature was nicely warm.
Breakfast is decent and served until a very reasonable hour (10:30). The restaurant offers a small variety of dishes but there’s diversity and a good representation of some regional staples, portion sizes are good and the price is adequate.
We booked this place as it advertised an indoors swimming pool not mentioning there’s an extra cost nowhere on the description of the hotel, it clearly states guests can enjoy an indoors swimming pool but the reality is that you can’t enjoy it whenever you want during your stay; you need to pay €20 per guest for 90m of access - this was truly disappointing: hidden costs are predatory and you need to schedule/plan your day instead of doing whatever pleases you when it pleases you. Upon arrival I complained about this, was told to call the spa, the staff person told me she was going to see what could be done and promised to call back, that never happened. To make matters worse, after paying for access we were told we’d need to surrender all our belongings as you can’t take anything with you to the swimming pool area, no wallet, no documents , no goods, no cellphone, nothing. Even if you’re going for a massage or spa circuit you can’t take your phone and earphones to enjoy some music. You’d think such a draconic rule would at least come with some security like lockers or some secure/secret/personal token that is unique to you belongings: Nope, you place all your stuff in a basket/hanger and you memorize your number but all the hangers and their numbers are in clear view: a very flawed security system to say the least.
We went in the beggining of May but the nights were chilly. The bed (which could be bigger. It’s a queen size) had just sheets and a very think cover. In the closet we had an old wool dusty blanket and a yellow-stained duvet both with a light musty/mold smell - we called reception to see if they had a clean/fresh duvet with a cover, or at very least a cover so we could use the one in the closet: Nope, they couldn’t help us, only offer other wool blankets or uncovered duvets.
Breakfast was fine, no issues, plenty of choice. Dinner is a little limited however. OK if like us you're only staying a few nights but it would get very samey after a week.
Very quiet hotel which is what we were after. Don't book if you want all evening entertainment.

Excellent spa/ massage facilities which I would recommend.
Rooms could do with a touch of TLC. Noting desperately wrong but a little tired. Very quite at night so slept very well the entire stay.
Bar closes at 6pm aside from Friday, Saturday & Sunday, which isn't much use if you arrive on a Sunday.
Gostei bastante da localização, do conforto e do sossego! Empregados simpáticos e acolhedores. Comida muito boa! Excelente jantar e pequeno-almoço.
