A comfortable stay and pleasant, helpful staff.
Pros:

Room which was delightfully cool in very hot weather, guest fridge, outdoor seating.
Staff offering a picnic alternative as the breakfast was too late for the early start needed for walking in exceptional heat.
Location in the attractive small town of Grassington.

Cons:

Our meal was disappointing - portions were generous but the pie was overcooked and the fried chicken charred and oily. To be fair the meal coincided with the recent eclipse which may have confused matters.

Pros:

A wonderful hotel with excellent food. We really enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The room was comfortable and well kept. It was on the small side, but when you come to Grassington, you’re unlikely to spend much time in your room anyway. For a place to come back to after a day of hiking and get a good night’s sleep, it was absolutely perfect.

Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be visiting again.
Pros:

The breakfast was prepared with care and the choice and food quality was great.
We also dined in the restaurant for an evening meal and the food again was excellently prepared.
The service was first class!

Lovely hotel with historic ambiance but very modern conveniences
Pros:

We felt very at home and enjoyed the lovely ambiance and friendly staff. The breakfasts were beyond our expectations and delicious. The beds were very comfy and the room cozy.

Cons:

It was quite hot and we missed having air conditioning.
