Pros:

Gorgeous room in the treetops! Lovely to sit out with a glass of wine. Effective air con to escape the heat. Very good food. Lovely walk down to Fermain Bay to swim. Friendly staff.

Séjour de charme, cosy, dans un calme absolu
Pros:

L’hôtel est situé admirablement à 2-3 km de Saint-Pierre-Port, au-dessus de la charmante baie de Fermain, où il y a un petit restaurant de plage et où on peut se baigner.
Le personnel est aimable. Le restaurant est excellent, les petits déjeuners aussi.

Cons:

Il faisait beaucoup trop chaud dans la chambre, dont on ne pouvait pas ouvrir les fenêtres. Le ventilateur, même allumé en permanence, ne suffisait pas.
Quelques chaises-longues sur la belle terrasse auraient été appréciées.

Great location, views, food and beds and staff that are so friendly and professional
Pros:

A fantastic location with amazing views down the valley to the sea from all around the hotel. The hotel was spotless, comfy beds and fluffy towels. All the food we tried was excellent - we loved the amazing breakfast menu with so much choice and top quality. We had dinner in the Terrace Restaurant which was also delightful - food and atmosphere great. The staff were also really helpful, friendly and very professional and we would love to visit again.

Cons:

The only slight negative was our room was on first floor above the bar area so noisy music made being in the room less relaxing than it could have been up to about 10pm - if staying again we would ask for a room away from this area as otherwise the hotel was very peaceful and relaxing.

Déception car les chambres ne sont vraiment pas à la hauteur

L’emplacement avec une très jolie vue et un jardin agréable

Cons:

Chambre vraiment minuscule, basse de plafond, donnant sur une route très passante. Salle de bains exiguë. Aucun rangement dans la chambre. Beaucoup trop chère pour l’offre !

Tolle Lage, aber unterirdische Zimmer
Pros:

Die Unterkunft hat eine tolle Lage, und der Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich. Allerdings waren die Servicekräfte oftmals auch sehr unorganisiert.

Cons:

Wir haben für fünf Nächte inklusive Frühstück rund 1.200 € bezahlt und waren vom Zimmer im Haupthaus mehr als enttäuscht.

Das Zimmer ist stark abgewohnt, renovierungsbedürftig und teilweise nicht sauber. Die Farbe blättert von der Decke, die Tapete ist beschädigt und der Blick geht auf einen lauten Hinterhof. Ein solches Zimmer entspricht weder dem Preis noch den Erwartungen an ein Hotel dieser Kategorie.

Als wir den Zustand direkt beim Check-in reklamierten, wurde lediglich erklärt, dass wir ein Classic-Zimmer im Haupthaus gebucht hätten und das Hotel ausgebucht sei. Eine Lösung oder auch nur Verständnis gab es nicht.

Wenn die Classic-Zimmer im Haupthaus in einem derart schlechten Zustand sind, sollte das bei der Buchung deutlich kommuniziert werden. Dass dieses Hotel zu den Hand Picked Hotels der Kanalinseln gehören soll, können wir angesichts unseres Zimmers leider überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen.

Really enjoyed our stay in Guernsey
Pros:

Great location for a lovely coastal walk into St Peter’s port if needed. Everywhere on the island is at a reasonable driving distance from everywhere else, so goes without saying. Lovely site too, bar and restaurants included is a plus, although the very popular mexican was fully booked during our stay.

Cons:

We stayed on one of the hottest summer days, although we were provided with a fan, an aircon would have been amazing. Given it was quite expensive, I don’t think it is too much to expect that luxury.

Great location, excellent staff, very dog friendly and a superb breakfast
Pros:

Great location on the east coast near the cliff path & short walk into St Martin’s village. Bus routes easy to locate both into town and off towards the west coast.

Very dog friendly hotel & all of the staff were absolutely brilliant.

Cons:

No air conditioning in the bedroom.
