Our weather was atrocious but the room and facilities at the hotel helped us enjoy our break

Ein wunderschöner Ort zum entspannen
Pros:

Wir waren sehr angetan von der Lage des gesamten Hotels. Umringt von einem fantastischen und wunderbar gepflegten Waldstück, nur wenige Gehminuten zum Strand. Wir haben 5 Nächte in einem der Baumhäuser verbracht und es war perfekt für unsere Bedürfnisse. Das Zimmer ist mit einem komfortablen Bett ausgestattet, einen Schreibtisch, einer Kleiderstange, einem kleinen Regal und ein Minikühlschrank. Dies mag ggf. etwas spartanisch für manch einen sein, für uns war es genau das Richtige. Das Frühstück am Morgen war ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert und das Personal ausnahmslos freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen war auch die Bar im Rock Garden, wo wir wohl einen der leckersten Cocktails (außerhalb der Karte) vom Barkeeper John zubereitet bekommen haben.

Cons:

Nicht gefallen wäre maßlos übertrieben, aber ggf. wären etwas komfortablere Loungemöbel auf der Terrasse schön gewesen.

Fantastic base to explore the island
Pros:

Location to the beach and on a bus route which meant the island was fully accessible from directly outside the hotel.

Cons:

The indoor pool was closed for repair during our visit. Also the teabags were not of a good quality which produced a poor tasting tea.

Très bon séjour dans ce bel endroit.
Pros:

Très bel hotel, dans un beau jardin proche d'une plage et desservi par le bus.

Cons:

Pas de chance, la piscine était fermée, et notre chambre sous les toits très chaude la nuit (période de canicule).
La restauration n'est pas à la hauteur, personnel gentil mais service long, voire très long parfois.

One we'll return to again and again
Pros:

We were in Room 25 which was perfect. On the top floor, it has a small balcony and stunning views of the verdant valley. It's also very handy for the car park at the rear of the hotel, and for the short walk up to Buho, their Mexican restaurant, where we had a good meal - they have an extensive cocktail menu, too. We liked the fact that the bathroom has a bath as well as a shower, and the room decor was very fresh and calming. Breakfast was good, and even though we were quite late down we did not feel hurried - staff even bought us tea & coffee top ups just as they were closing, a rarity!

Cons:

The reception area is surprisingly dark and somewhat low key, not really a reflection of the rest of the hotel. A friend who was staying at the same time told us she struggled to read the check in form.

Fantastisch hotel in rustige omgeving
Pros:

Een heerlijk hotel met prachtige ligging en alles tot in de puntjes geregeld. We hadden een fijne kamer met groot tweepersoonsbed en een balkon. Je kijkt uit over de baai en het lijkt net of je in het regenwoud zit. Heel groen en veel vogels. Heerlijk rustig.
St Peter Port is ongeveer 30 min lopen met een steile heuvel. Met de taxi ongeveer 10 min voor 12 euro.
Het ontbijt was fantastisch!! Een klein buffet en een kaart waar je kunt kiezen uit heerlijke gerechten. Het voelt toch wat luxer dan een ontbijtbuffet.
Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en we hebben veel met ze gelachen. Het voelde wat kleinschaliger en persoonlijker aan dan een echt groot hotel.
Het eiland zelf hebben we verkend met een elektrische fiets. Goed te doen! Ze brengen de fietsen naar het hotel en halen ze weer op.
