Le Grand Galle

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided warm, professional, and attentive service, making us feel truly welcome. The room was spacious and spotless with all the amenities expected from a 5-star property. The view of Galle Fort and the beautiful beach surroundings from the room was absolutely amazing. It was one of the highlights of my stay, especially during sunrise and sunset.

The food was delicious, offering a wide variety of choices. Every detail was well maintained, creating a luxurious and comfortable experience. Their excellent service, and warm hospitality made our stay extra special.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality, comfort and satisfied service. We look forward to staying here again.

The restaurant served a wide variety of dishes, including plenty of delicious options that were not overly spicy, which we really appreciated.

Definitely don't be misled by the reviews into thinking this place is a 5-star hotel.We came to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon.The suite they put us in was a damp room.Everything at breakfast was stale.I want to talk about the reception staff.When we went to exchange money, We had never felt so swindled.As we were leaving Colombo, we asked about a taxi.After hearing the answer, we felt we needed to leave immediately.

Le Grand Galle is a beautiful luxury hotel located close to Galle Fort with amazing views of the ocean. The rooms are modern, spacious and very clean giving a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The staff are very friendly and always ready to help making guests feel welcome.
The infinity pool and sea view are highlights perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunset.

Breakfast and food options are also good with a nice variety. Overall it is a great place for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Galle
especially for couples and families.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Grand Galle! We visited with our 3-month-old baby, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality, making us feel comfortable and well cared for throughout our stay.

Our room was spacious, immaculate, and offered a breathtaking sea view. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the stunning views of the Indian Ocean from our room was truly one of the highlights of our stay. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax as a family.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding. There was an incredible variety of fresh, delicious local and international dishes, all beautifully presented and of excellent quality. It was the perfect way to start each day.

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. They were especially kind and accommodating towards our little one, which made traveling with a young baby so much easier and more enjoyable.

The pool, facilities, and overall ambiance of the hotel were exceptional. Every corner of the property is beautifully maintained, and the stunning location overlooking the sea and Galle Fort makes it one of the best places to stay in Galle.

Thank you to the entire team at Le Grand Galle for making our family’s first holiday with our baby such a memorable one. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel and look forward to returning again soon!

During our stay at Le Grand Hotel Galle, dining at Taste Restaurant was a truly beautiful experience, made even more memorable by the above exceptional service of Ms Hasandi, Mr Kaveesha, and Chef Kithmina.

A special thank you to Ms Hasandi, who consistently greeted us with a warm smile and demonstrated the highest level of professionalism. She was knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to recommend dishes to us. What impressed us most was her attention to detail. We placed our dinner order in the afternoon, and when we arrived at 7.30 pm, everything was ready for us. Our table was reserved with a great view. She then serve every course promptly and flawlessly. We are indeed very impressed with her dedication and genuine care. She is indeed a gem.

We would also like to commend Mr Kaveesha for his hard work and commitment. He worked tirelessly; always clearing and resetting tables efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. He carried out his duties with pride and professionalism.

A special mention goes to Chef Kithmina at the live cooking station. The noodles he prepared for us were delicious. He is good at what he does and accommodates guest requests and created dishes with balanced of flavours and textures.

Thank you, Hasandi, Kaveesha, and Chef Kithmina, for your outstanding hospitality and dedication. Your warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay at Le Grand Hotel Galle even more special. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und bietet eine große Auswahl. Wir haben ein Upgrade auf eine Suite erhalten, die außergewöhnlich groß war und einige Highlights bot, darunter einen privaten Pool sowie ein riesiges Badezimmer mit Badewanne und zwei Duschen. Alles war sehr sauber, und die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und zuvorkommend.

The View

One of the best hotels we have stayed in the recent past . Location was top notch . Our room was spacious and the ocean view from our room was incredible. We have included both breakfast and dinner in our stay which we enjoyed immensely. At both services we were looked after exceptionally well by the friendly staff.Really enjoyed our dinner nights which included three course meal and a buffet for couple of days where we were served with delicious food varieties . We have stayed four nights and it’s worth the money . Really looking forward for our next stay.
