Beautiful property with a fabulous room, with views over the city and the downs. Breakfast was delicious and filling for the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend.

A beautiful, stylish and very comfortable hotel in a great location. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The common areas are beautifully decorated - looked like something from an interiors magazine. We had one of the smallest rooms but it was still a good size and very comfortable, with thoughtful extras like robes, slippers etc.. The breakfast choices were ample and the food was really excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
Bathroom was a bit basic and would have preferred a handheld shower.
While the food at breakfast was exceptional, the coffee was not good.

Pristine room. Comfortable bed with fabulous bedding. Fresh milk in fridge. Plenty of plug points.
Steep stairs with no one available to assist wth luggage. Noise from movement in room above.
TV programmes not comprehensive. No channel 4 for example. Surrounding area very littered and not as attractive as hotel deserves.
The room we stayed in had a lovely view over the park with two comfortable chairs and a table in the bay window. The bed was comfortable and there were slippers, robes and macarons provided to have with a cup of tea. The breakfast areas are very nice and the food was excellent.
The bathroom was small, but it wasn’t an issue

Location was the principal reason overall in our case because of proximity to friends living in the area.

The room was a little over heated at first but was able to be cooled down by opening a window.
The hotel renovation was perhaps not very recent but the cleanliness and condition of the property and facilities was very good.
