Our first visit to Sidmouth and we were very impressed with the hotel and hospitality.

Pros:

I stayed at the hotel while hiking the South West Coast Path. I felt a little underdressed in my hiking cloths when I arrived - it felt a little fancier than most other places I stayed at - but I nonetheless felt very welcome at the hotel. I appreciated that in addition to teas bags and instant coffee, the hotel also provided some instant hot chocolate which felt very good after walking through the rain.

Cons:

my one critique is that the window was a little dirty - I did nonetheless enjoy the view over the village and church.

We had a very enjoyable stay and it was delightful to sit on our balcony overlooking the sea in love
Pros:

The breakfast was very good despite the staff being overwhelmed by 2 coach loads as well as their other guests.
The evening meal was delicious with good choice and reasonably priced.

Cons:

The complimentary coffee was cold at elevenses but the tea and cake at 4pm were very welcome.

Lovely family run hotel with excellent staff and food.
Pros:

The staff at the Kingswood were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and always had a sole on their faces.

Cons:

The only problem we had was my father has mobility issues and when we arrived we were on the top floor with 2 sets of 10 stairs to climb, I did ask on reception if they had an alternative room on the level, the receptionist did everything she could to sort it out but nothing available. Offered an alternative room in the sister hotel but nothing available to the same quality as the one we had, so decided to stay with what we were originally given. I can’t fault the staff they were excellent. It didn’t spoil our stay.

on the whole good apart from kitchen noise

excellent location ,very clean and friendly staff

Cons:

noise from vent in kitchen which in our room oe117 this was very noisy and you could hear doors banging when the kitchen opened up in the morning if staying at the hotel i would not stay in the room again this was the only complaint otherwise the stay as very good as was the food.

schimmel.op de muren in de kamer. vies kamer..Zweden 140cm breed...voor 2 pers bed te klein. Als booking klant hebben we de Slechtsre kamer gehad...Wij zijn dus vertrokken na kamer gezien te hebben. Niet geslapen zo slecht. Kan niet geloven dit op booking goede reviews had in igv niet onze kamer..

kamer vochtig en schimmel aanwezig. Te klein bed. Klein raam wat zeezicht gaf maar te klein was om v te genieten...gewoon niet okay vermeld zo klein was..
