Excellent, comfortable and the most convenient stay by the sea.
Pros:

It was a cute hotel room which looked like it was recently renovated. It was a very conveniently located too. The staff were exceptional. I was visiting family so did not eat here even though I paid for breakfast. It smelled amazing.

Cons:

I loved the property. However my friends room was a little outdated. Very clean though but he felt it needed some modernising.

Amazing staff
Pros:

Leaving today after a 4 night coach holiday , very pleased with the hotel , bedroom was spacious with a massive bedroom, including a bath & walk in shower . Food was lovely, I ve attached a sample dinner menu , breakfast was freshly cooked with a great choice
The wi fi was good in our room but no signal in the restaurant which suited us.
The most outstanding thing about this hotel was the wonderful staff , everyone was so helpful, efficient attentive & friendly.
I need a plug beside my bed for a medical device , I rang before hand to check one would be available, the lady on the phone checked what room we were in & went to check , she said no but housekeeping would put an extension lead in the room & when we arrived indeed it was waiting, great service!
The hotel is in a perfect location on the Esplanade

Almost non-existant wi-fi
Pros:

This was the third time we have stayed with our little dog Fifi at The Kingswood Hotel. Almost everything was as great as usual. Our chosen room on the ground floor was as great as was the breakfast was great and Fifi especially enjoyed the sausage that was provided each day especially for her. Our one big problem however was the fact that we were unable to connect to the Wi-fi with the exception of spasmodically in the small reception area. I asked for help every day for the first six days of our stay and spoke to a few of the guests who were also experiencing difficulties. I also asked to speak to someone who could specifically help with this problem and he confirmed as we spoke that his phone could not connect beyond the reception area. As the floor Manager he promised to ask for maintenance to look into it and said they would come back to me but didn't. We have friends who live locally who tried to call or send us texts on several occasions but were unable to do so. I have a few health issues and monitor these with apps on my phone but of course was unable to access these whilst at the hotel and in addition a security system at home with a camera which we couldn't access either. We would be reluctant to go there again as they seem unwilling or unable to resolve the issue.

Pros:

Location excellent. Food good, staff helpful. There is some parking but not for everyone and must be booked. It was folk week so very full and we had a small back room. I was pleased it was not hot at night because, despite a fan, it would have been stifling as room (118) looks out on an inner roof. Otherwise very comfortable and clean. Can sit out front and watch the seafront. Breakfast very good.

Cons:

A bit expensive for the size of room but it was high season and less than other comparable hotels.
