Okay lacked a selection of tinned fruit for breakfast.
Carpets on stair were pretty dirty a little bit of TLC Required
zimmer mit wunderbarer aussicht aufs wasser
We enjoyed breakfast everyday. Hot breakfasts as well as continental was offered. Friendly seating and cosy surroundings.
My husband asked for porridge one morning which they didn’t have. There seemed to be some issue with the porridge delivery.
Location
Lack of any attention to detail.
Room had full glass frontage to afford westerly views, which is great.
However, no net curtains so everyone walking past can look in.
Also, balcony immediately adjacent to busy main road
We had an upgrade to a balcony room which was nice
This was a second visit here for us. We returned because it was excellent!
This time it wasn't.
I had three twin rooms booked, two with disabled access.
The booking they said they had was for three doubles all upstairs.
Despite showing them my booking on booking.com, they still disagreed.
I was given a downstairs room with balcony. It had three , very large floor to ceiling windows but no voiles like all the other ground floor rooms had.
Facing onto the road with the pavement directly outside this wasn't ideal and I had to spend the entirety of the stay with the curtains drawn and the light on in the room.
We had to make do with what was available. It wasn't great
Our first visit, in 2026 was excellent. The staff were fabulous; very friendly and welcoming. With the exception of Evie who dealt with our booking mix up and the tall young man behind the bar, every member of staff seemed unhappy and lacking in conversational skills
It just absolutely spoiled our trip. The food wasn't as good either. If this had been our first visit we wouldn't have returned.
We won't be returning again now.
Good location, very comfortable beds and the best shower. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff.
We stayed in room 16 for which accessibility is poor through numerous stairs and lots of doors. Due to the location of the room (very rear over looking carpark) the Internet was terrible.
Location was good although the balcony was pointless due to the busy road
Arrival we were greeted very well and given our key and pointed in the direction of our room. We booked restaurant for evening meal .. haddock and chips, steak pie chips n veg. The presentation was lovely however the chips were overcooked and still skinned, the cabbage was raw and the batter was very thick. Just all overpriced for expectation ... stayed in better for less money
Our stay at the Oyster Inn was OK but not much more. The walls were not very sound proof, our room had one tiny velux window so no view and the room was small and not well furnished. We didn't have a cooked breakfast and the options for the buffet were poor. Though if you're hungry the cooked breakfast did smell good. Overall it was a very average stay for the amount that it cost for our family to spend a night there.
The views from our room over Loch Etive were fantastic. Great location for an overnight stay. Room was a good size too.
Carpets in rooms need a bit of a clean but it does say dog friendly so stains prob from them.
