I greatly appreciated the room upgrade for being IHG Platinum member. We visit MD Anderson quarterly for consultations regarding my cancer. It helps to have a nice room when I try to sleep the night before I receive my test results. I am cancer free for 21 months, and I am grateful.
Amazing hotel! I was able to experience a great stay. Beautiful room and great foods at the executive lounge.
I was very shocked by the completely new staff at the Bar and restaurant. The new valet also needs serious training for improvement.
The Bar staff needs classy outfits and better training for service. I normally stay at the intercontinental regularly when attending HLSR and my doctor's appointments.
This whole experience is more on the level of a Holiday Inn Express. But even the Galliera Holiday Inn as more class than the Intercontinental right now.
I also was shocked by the group of white Geto bring in Grubhub and setting up dinner on the bar from Torches Taco. Zero respect for the other guest trying to enjoy the Hotel appetizers and beverages. The new Management Team needs support for immediate improvement.
I truly wise the Best for the Intercontinental going forward, its one of my favorite places to stay.

The shower and bathroom floor was covered in hair. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were also lacking. 0 out of 10. Will never book again. I booked here since it was close to take my mom to Md Anderson but I should’ve booked the doubletree. It was clean and closer
There was a shuttle
Our room wasn’t cleaned when we came back to the room, they just took all the towels. We had to call the reception and asked for bringing towels. We had to do call the reception again after having waited an half hour in a wet swimming suits. They finally brought some towels but we were so cold by then.
Very windy pool site. Went there three times to watch World Cup games but it was so windy and had to keep all my plates and cup from flying away.
Intercontinental never disappoints, no matter what city we are in. It is always worth what little extra per night charge is compared to other hotel because of the customer service and the way you are treated once you arrive for check in. This was our first time staying in the Intercontinental Houston but rest assured it won’t be our last

they had a shut down water, and I had to stay hours in the hotel without leaving because I need to shower
Thanks to the incredibly comfortable bedding, spotless room conditions, and super handy free shuttle service, it is a fantastic premium choice for everyone—from corporate travelers to families visiting local museums and the zoo. One thing to keep in mind is that the daily parking fee is on the higher side, so checking out parking-inclusive deals before you book is definitely a smart move.
They put metal water bottles out and say one is complementary, then charge $9.00 for this. There was a sneaky charge after the stay. There was never any callback on this issue despite twice the front desk saying they would. Treadmills dont work in the gym. TV by the pool didnt work. You cant trust this site. Essentially your are forced into $42 valet parking. Will not stay again
Courteous and wonderful staff. Neat rooms. I had access to the Club Intercontinental Lounge and the breakfast was wonderful...probably the best I have had so far. I am looking forward to trying other Intercontinental Hotels to see if this was just a one off.
Exceptional service. We went for an appointment at MD anderson and the location and shuttle worked perfectly. The rooms were well-appointed and very comfortable beds!
1 - The air conditioner could not be adjusted so we finally had to just turn it off.
2 - There were at least 3 lights that did not work.
3 - The toilet in the middle of the night just quit working and we had to work on it to finally get it to flush.
4 - And there was a water leak which caused my husband to not be able to take a shower for several hours. He had an early MDA appointment the next morning a wanted to get to bed early.
5 - And for the price of that room, the above was not acceptable.
Loved the free shuttle service. All staff were fantastic.
