Es war perfekt für uns - ein tolles Hotel in einer tollen Stadt!
Pros:

Hervorheben möchten wir die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Front-Desk-Personals. Auch das Reinigungspersonal hat sehr gute Arbeit geleistet – man hat es quasi gar nicht bemerkt und trotzdem waren unsere Räume stets in Ordnung. Unser Appartement mit Verbindungstüre und insgesamt 78 m² war für uns als fünfköpfige Familie ideal.

Schon beim Check-in wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass wir uns an jede MIMARU-Filiale in Tokio wenden können, wenn wir Hilfe benötigen. Dort würde man sich um uns kümmern und uns unterstützen. Das fanden wir sehr beruhigend.

Auch viele kleine Details haben uns gefallen: die voll ausgestattete Küche, Regenschirme zum Ausborgen bei Regen und der Waschsalon, den wir allerdings gar nicht gebraucht haben. Dass sich die Fenster nicht vollständig öffnen lassen, hat uns nicht gestört – bei einem zwölfstöckigen Gebäude dient das wohl einfach der Sicherheit. Die Bettwäsche wurde gefühlt alle zwei Tage gewechselt und alles fühlte sich immer frisch an. Die Betten waren bequem und sehr breit.

Die Lage ist sehr gut: In etwa vier Minuten erreicht man das Iriya Gate des Bahnhofs Ueno, von dort sind es noch etwa drei bis fünf Minuten zu den Gleisen. Ameyoko ist in rund zehn Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und ein 7-Eleven liegt gleich ums Eck.

Als Paar würden wir ein anderes Hotel wählen, vielleicht mit Bar und Restaurant im Haus. ;-)

Als Familie mit drei Teenagern ist MIMARU für uns aber eine sehr gute Kombination. Es gibt genug Platz, um sich zurückzuziehen, und gleichzeitig kann man abends gemeinsam zusammensitzen und den nächsten Tag planen. Da wir zum ersten Mal in Tokio waren, wollten wir unsere Kinder auch nicht auf drei einzelne Zimmer in einem großen Hotel verteilen.

Wenn unsere Teenager morgens noch müde waren, holten wir Eltern einfach frisches Sushi, warme Teigtaschen und Gebäck vom Bahnhof und konnten gemeinsam und ohne Stress im Appartement frühstücken.

Für uns hat alles gepasst – wir finden tatsächlich kein Haar in der Suppe. Sowohl Lage als auch Ausstattung waren genau wie beschrieben und wurden vorab über Booking und auch auf der MIMARU-Seite vollständig und korrekt kommuniziert.

In einigen Bewertungen wurde ein ungewöhnlicher Geruch im Appartement erwähnt. Wir hatten jedoch nicht den Eindruck, dass dieser muffig ist oder etwas mit der Sauberkeit zu tun hat. Vielmehr scheinen die Holz-Verbauelemente in den Bädern einen eigenen Geruch zu haben, ähnlich wie frisches Holz. Wir haben ihn nicht als unangenehm empfunden und nach ein bis zwei Tagen kaum noch wahrgenommen.
