Room was modern and very clean. Coffee and tea - good selection. Breakfast was very good. Beer garden lovely
Location was run down - next to a railway line so regular trains passing by. Room not as described- no sofa . Restaurant and bar was over busy and noisy . Booking system did not work well. Long waits for a table , long wait for food order to be taken - gave up and left table on second night to go and eat elsewhere.
Plenty of choices for breakfast and well appointed area for the meal
Cannot find a fault.with with anything . The restaurant was full in the evening we should have booked a table so that we would advise. It’s well known for its pies each one named after a horse ! We put forward Brumby Morgan which were not on the list!
The air conditioning was a must, the pies in the restaurant were tasty and very big,we were able to share one.
Not sure about the plastic horse in the garden, not a problem but why?
Lovely quiet location on the edge of Hunmanby village. On lane down to local beach. Made very welcome when we booked in and shown to large ground floor room with air conditioning!! Patio door wirh private patio overlooking garden area. Very comfy bed and pillows and modern bathroom with shower cubicle. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and all the staff were so friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. The Inn is renowned for it's huge selection of homemade pies. The portions were very big so my husband and I did a "pie share" of steak and kidney. It was served with fresh veg and was delicious.
I cannot recommend The Piebald highly enough. Excellent location, room, staff and food.
E everything exceeded expectations. Accommodation first class. Food excellent. Staff exceptional, helpful and friendly. Lovely pub in a delightful village in the best county, North Yorkshire
Nothing to dislike.
Can't dislike perfectionres
Inconvenient, very friendly and you certainly would not starve staying here.
Facilities were excellent but very comfortable and no problems with the excellent Room
. Good breakfast excellent Eggs Florentine
Although it was not locked apparently they closed the car park when the pub closes in the evening. Which wasn’t notified on the documentation which would’ve been useful for future reference. We were able to park adjacent if you’re staying out later.
I do not like to give a negative feedback, but on this occasion I have to.
the room was ok, and nice and clean, the young lady on breakfast very friendly, and helpful.
but the rest of the accommodation wanted a complete overhaul . Because the pub is famous, for its pies,
they are being made most of the day. and unfortunately everything smells, of pies, even your clothes,
when you go out. so taking all of this into consideration, it was very over priced
The pub having a complete overhaul
The room we had was very nice large clean and with this weather it had air con. Which was very welcoming.
The staff where amazing.
Nothing to dislike
Excellent room.
Really pleasant and helpful staff
It’s a great location, and a short drive across to Bempton Cliffs. The food is very good and the accessible room is very good too.
I thought the room was quite expensive but everything was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good for our trip.
Room excellent - staff brilliant and friendly. Food really good.
Bit too far from other amenities.
The choice of pies was incredible at dinner . The portions we rather large but we offered to share or to take the remainder home. A good selection at breakfast .
The staff are very friendly , welcoming and attentive. The room was well appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean . We liked the little outdoor space overlooking the garden.
The only comment we would have is the meal timings. We had booked 7.30 for evening meal but when we arrived we could tell that they really wanted us to eat earlier . We complied so then were able to eat in the dining room not the bar !
It was also surprising that breakfast is from 7- 9 am. This seems a little early to finish breakfast .
Location
Nothing
The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. X
The duvet in the room was heavy for the summer weather.
Good location and lovely breakfast
Noise from train line. Although I'm a light sleeper, so it was only myself who heard them
