Beautiful part of The Lakes
Staff at the breakfast and dinner were not so accommodating but the main reception staff outstanding

The food was okay. Would’ve preferred other yoghurt, it was quite sour and didn’t pair as well as it could’ve with the compote, as well as less mashed/thin avocado.

Did not have the restaurant open on two of the three nights of our stay.
The location was peaceful and the view across the gardens and the lake were also lovely to have and see. The decor outside of the room was much better and more up to date than in the bedroom.
I didn't like the fact I spent £305 for a suite room where the lights didn't work as they should, only some were working. The restaurant was closed and I was not informed to I was forced to drive out and get dinner which I wanted to eat in the place I was staying. No bottled water baffeled me, almost every room I have ever stayed in offers bottled water not water in a jug from the tap, this was not okay. The room was old and tired, for a supposed 5*, the rooms need to be enhanced significantly. Overall, I am really disappointed with the value for money and I could have stayed at better places with more to offer at half the cost.

Nothing to complain or dislike.
The hotel was located in a quiet setting and had a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was hot and fresh and served at the table. There were gowns and slippers in the bedroom along with daily homemade cookies
The bedroom fell far below our expectations. The wallpaper was stained, the carpet was wrinkled and came away from the thresh on the first morning, this was quickly put right by staff. The seal on the shower door sprang open at the bottom which meant stepping out of the shower onto a wet floor/bathmat. On the second day the hospitality tray was replenished and the towels folded, however the bed had not been made and the carpet hadn't been vacuumed.
