Good location, staff are friendly, check in was simple enough and price was ok.
The bed was extremely squeaky, you couldn’t have electrics on without having bathroom light on 🤷♀️
Was woken up to someone (assume staff) having a cigarette right outside our window. Quite outdated room especially carpet (AND MATTRESS). There was an empty bottle on bathroom floor so cleaning between guests was not 100%.
Good location
Room was very hot
The staff are very nice and welcoming, the room could just do with a freshen up
The rooms could do with a freshen up! The window frame was dirty and the shower seal was also dirty
Every single staff member were attentive, friendly and approachable. The location is great and the value for money is superb.
The shower was a little grubby round the edges, the water pressure was poor but for the price we paid it could have been a lot worse. The rooms are extremely warm in the evenings.
Friendly, small hotel with great staff and food, good location and good car parking. Will use again.
Clean, comfy and welcoming
The staff were really friendly. The restaurant was really good food. The location was great. Right near bus stops. A local park. Quick walk to Edgeley and Cheadle. Close to train station. Bedding was clean and fresh, as were towels.
The room, although expected to be old fashioned decor, the curtains were disgusting with who knows what stains. Their was public hair on the shower controls. Only about half a toilet roll. Cupboard fronts need a clean as do the walls and skirting boards. Only one tea cup which hadn't been washed properly. The teapot smelt like rotting water inside. No one around early to access water or a proper coffee.
Good parking.
Right under the flight path for Manchester Airport. Also restaurant was noisy emptying rubbish late at night. TV in room didn't work.
The property was on the main road and very close to where I was visiting.
The staff, when they were around, were lovely. Upon arrival I felt like it was a bit of a ghost town but in the evening when the restaurant was open. Everyone was lovely. The room was cosy.
Unfortunately the money that was spent for two nights was in my opinion wayy too much. The room was clean but there were hairs in the bathroom. My room was DIRECTLY above the Indian restaurant kitchen and I could hear the chefs shouting and talking all evening on Saturday night as well as the doo slamming back and forth.
The rooms amenities are vintage in closing th trouser press and hairdryer. I feel these could do with an update. Coffee was decaff only and had one sachet. However the housekeeping lady assisted me with this the next day. Still decaff but stocked me up! Thankyou!
It was close to P Louise which was the purpose of the stay.
They allowed an early check in..
The cleanliness of the room. Sweets and tobacco in the top drawer and chocolate in the cupboard. It was really hot, the valve was broken on the radiator so could not turn it down. Opened the window, but so loud with traffic.
They cancelled my room the night before the Manchester Marathon with little to no proper explanation. I was told my room was “shut for maintenance”, as if it was a toilet cubicle rather than accommodation.
This left me completely stranded at the worst possible time, with hotel prices massively inflated due to the marathon weekend. It’s hard not to feel like the booking was cancelled so the room could be resold at a higher rate once demand increased.
I only managed to find a room that was cheap enough that evening once I was in Manchester, so had the stress of travelling up there without a place to stay booked.
