Everything was perfect for our stay. Large exceptionally clean rooms, very big and comfortable beds. I felt safe with so many security guards on the gate and all around the outside of the hotel. The staff were very professional and tried in every way possible to make our stay perfect. The buffet breakfast was tops - lots of choices for food items and juices and coffees. All dietary questions were answered quickly. We used the exercize room and the pool (at the time we had to go to the residences to use the pool as the other pool was under renovations). We stayed before our Kokoda Trek and after our Kokoda Trek, and they were kind to hold bags for us whilst we were trekking. Highly recommend Hilton Port Moresby.
Well there were hit and miss things. Like 4 of us were in a room with 2 towels initially. Then we had two in a room with one towel. Then two in a room with two towels and two flannels. Sometimes there was coffee in the room and milk, other rooms it was not there only tea. Sometimes one water was left in a room, sometimes 4 water. In one room the shower had two shampoo bottles in one room and no body wash. Just little things missing and differences notices as we moved rooms. The TV did not work properly for us. Nothing major, and we enjoyed our visit just the same and I would still rate it 10 stars. Oh I also felt awful staying in such a richy richy hotel and looking out the window seeing the 3rd world poverty and people living on the streets - I'm not saying hide it, we need to see that. I just felt guilty inside and wished I could bring them all into the hotel and give them a shower and some descent food.

Expensive for a night
Our stay was truly elevated by the incredible staff at this hotel. The customer service was exceptional with staff constantly ensuring we always had everything we needed. The chef needs special mention as he not only catered to my specific dietary requirements but also cooked the best steak my husband said he has ever eaten.. and he’s eaten a lot! Overall our stay was amazing and this is why I felt the need to leave this feedback/review.. THANK YOU STAFF AT THE HILTON 🫶🏼
