Severe BEDBUG infestation, medical emergency, and failed management. DO NOT STAY HERE.

After checking into our room, we already noticed it was quite dusty—we couldn’t even place a book on the nightstand without it getting dirty. We chose not to complain at the time, as we didn’t want to make a fuss, we were focused on our upcoming coastal cruise. Little did we know, the lack of cleanliness was much more sinister. Shortly after leaving the hotel to board our cruise, I broke out in severe, agonizingly itchy bites.

The hotel subsequently contacted us to state they had discovered a BEDBUG INFESTATION in our room during post-checkout cleaning. This timeline confirms the room was not properly cleaned or inspected prior to our arrival; we were checked into an actively infested room.

When we contacted them demanding a refund, management initially refused. Meanwhile, my wife’s physical condition deteriorated into a medical crisis. The bites grew progressively worse as our cruise sailed north. Instead of enjoying our trip, we spent our honeymoon visiting doctors and pharmacies from port to port. Near Nordkapp, I had to go to emergency medical services because the bites had mutated into massive, growing, pus-filled blisters. I was prescribed strong antibiotics to fight off a severe infection.

Because of these gruesome, painful injuries, we couldn't use the cruise facilities we paid for, like the pools, baths, or saunas. At times the agony was so intense, I was screaming under ice-cold showers just to find temporary relief. Our entire honeymoon was turned into an expensive, painful nightmare.

Following this trauma, Klosterhagen Hotell REFUSED TO REIMBURSE US for my wife's medical bills or the specialized container-freezing services required to sanitize our luggage so we wouldn't bring bedbugs into our home. They refused any compensation for the terrible experience, the lost value of the cruise, or the honeymoon we can never get back. They only reluctantly agreed to a basic room refund after our initial demand was rejected.

Sin lugar a dudas, el desayuno es lo mejor del hotel. Para lo sencillo que es, me ha parecido caro, pero en Bergen es difícil encontrar mejor precio. Es tranquilo, y el personal es muy amable

Si viajas con maleta, subir las escaleras empinadas cuesta. Y en la habitación apenas hay sitio para abrirlas, y menos para guardar ropa. Ah, las camas muy blandas y ligeramente inclinadas, por el suelo de la habitación
