We came to Chennai to attend a wedding...so we were looking for a place which would keep us closer to the airport as well as the wedding venue. At Fairfield by Marriot at Rajeev Gandhi Salai, we found an ideal place...the people at the reception are capable...well mannered, organised and polite. That set the mood for the other things. The room was clean, well furnished, reasonable enough for 2 people, well furnished, they provide you with an iron box and hair dryer too....extremely handy when you come to attend a function. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Our experience with the restaurant during dinner was very good...the staff is extremely courteous and caring, serving food with a smile, coaxing you to eat a little more, checking if everything is fine, taking time to ask how your stay has been. They really make you feel special. The restaurant staff even said they could pack us some sandwiches for the way when we said we are leaving at 4 am....wow...I was impressed. Room service is available 24×7....we got coffee at 3.15 am. The hotel is a totally cashless setup...you can only make digital payments. Overall a wonderful experience...I am surely coming back here.

Even though the swimming pool was in the next building the assistance to get there and the rooftop swimming pool was good.
Hotel in general needs some renovation as interior is a bit tired. Bottled water can be asked freely at any time. Breakfast was good and has rich selection, coffee and water must be asked. AC works sufficiently. Mr Souvik, our waiter in breakfast was very attentive and helpful. Had to change rooms and it was very simple.

Great hotel, easy going, good gym. Souvik was a great host and advisor.
The staff were the bright spot especially Souvik and Mali in the restaurant. The hotel has aged since I stayed here last seven years ago but I will definitely return next time I’m in Chennai. The spread at breakfast is excellent. if you are vegetarian, and you don’t do the buffet for lunch and dinner then the à la carte selections are limited.
However given the price this is an excellent value for money.
