not a five-star hotel
Cons:

“It’s not a standard 5-star hotel”, Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica hotel manager said when we complained about the room looking quite different from the one on Booking. Indeed, there is no way this hotel may be ranked as a modern 5-star hotel.
It all starts at arrival, where there is no bellman waiting for the guests (which is the case in all 5-star hotels I’ve visited so far), so I had to bring family’s luggage to the reception, where I was told that I need to bring it back outside so it can then be moved to our room. Makes sense.
The room. Modest, if not downright shabby. White walls, tiled floor, no décor. Wooden door with like 5cm gap underneath so you can hear what is going all in the corridor well. Cheap rounded door handles. Weird lamps on the bedside tables that take the whole table space. You get one pillow. Not two, not three, not “our pillow’s menu” – just one, and pretty cheap one too.
There is no wardrobe. Instead, there are some hangers. Quite like in a dormatory. There are no robes in a 5-star hotel. Although there is a nice fridge from nienties standing quite in isolation, with safe hanging just above it. There is also a not-a-sofa and not-a-bed thing, purpose of which remains unknown.
Outside the room there is a terrace with an olive grove. Although, there is also a huge ventilation shaft that makes this air-sucking noise with no rest.
The food. It’s okey, nothing extraordinary, but fine. Coffee is a struggle. There are three types of different machines none capable of producing a decent cup of coffee, and queues of tired guests fighting with the machines. Drinks are fairly standard, you can’t do much to the drinks.
The staff. Mostly they tell you that they don’t work yet irrespectively of the time of the day and what you are asking. Then, they say that you can get it somewhere else. Some look friendly, some not quite. The hotel office manager was trying to be nice but that is where it all ended, no response, no feedback, no action, nothing.

הצוות הכי שירותי שנתקלתי בו, כבר בשלב הצ׳ק אין ועד כל בקשה שהייתה לנו בהמשך ועד הצ׳ק אאוט. פשוט חייכנים, עוזרים, יעילים. המתקנים מעולים ויש מלא מקום, על אף התפוסה המלאה לא היו תורים והיו מרחבים. המגלשות והבריכות היו מושלמות לילדים וחוף הים נקי, מסודר ומהמם. אוכל מגוון ובשפע. ורמת נקיון גבוהה מאוד.

המזגן בחדר עשה קצת בעיות, וגם יש המון יתושים ודבורים.

The biggest issue was the mosquitoes. Every evening, just before sunset, there was a severe mosquito problem and guests were being bitten all over. It caused a lot of discomfort and itching and was clearly affecting many guests around the hotel. On several occasions, we had to leave the restaurant in the middle of dinner because it became unbearable, and twice we even skipped dessert because of it.
The air conditioning was also quite weak in the bungalow rooms we stayed in. Although there was plenty of food, we found the overall food quality to be average.

Perfect vacation with kids
Pros:

We loved the food. The variety was unbelievable and everything was fresh, We loved the water park. The kids couldn't get enough of the water slides. The beach was excellent. The rooms were clean. The staff was really nice and you felt that they genuinely wanted to help and assist whenever needed. The whole experience was very satisfying and all our party enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for the great hospitality and a beautiful vacation.

Cons:

The bed mattresses were a bit uncomfortable I think they had what you would call a boat-like shape which caused us not to have the best sleep at night but it wasn't that bad. Just something to keep in mind

Amazing hotel
Pros:

Incredible hotel. Big staff attending to whatever you need everywhere- in-pools, receptions, bars, restaurants, you name it. Good facilities, many pools. Nice rooms. Amazing aqua park for all ages..Great pool bar snacks (including crepes, ice cream and ices all day). Nice beach, nice evening entertainment. Nice specialty restaurants by booking (you get a few free). Great alcoholic drinks-wines and cocktails beimg made upon request. A little distant from the city and airport but not that bad. Decent free parking and Corfu roads are not as bad as they say, not to mention that the roads are beautiful.

Beautiful three star stay
Pros:

Not a 5 star, if you reset expectations to a 3 star resort it’s great. Beautiful setting, grounds are glorious, but had a major mosquito problem. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

While the fresh fruit and salads were great, the rest of the food was awful, dry and horrible. The buffet area smell was revolting most days. They also don’t know how to cope with all the guests and despite many empty table or those that could quickly be cleared, there were huge seating queues. If you want to eat in restaurants organise way in advance.
We couldn’t get a table at any of them and ended up off site for two nights (where the food was more than worth the effort).
Life guards in the beach and water park were great but in the middle pools spent all their time on their phones and weren’t paying any attention.

A beautiful, exceptionally family-friendly resort that we didn’t want to leave. We would happily return next year.
Pros:

Absolutely stunning resort. Beautiful, safe and very well thought out, especially for families with children. Everything felt comfortable and easy, and there was so much space to enjoy. We genuinely didn’t want to leave and are already thinking about coming back next year.

Cons:

While the communal areas of the resort feel beautifully renovated and very well maintained, the interiors of the rooms are a little more dated in comparison and could benefit from some updating. That said, our room was still very comfortable, spacious and practical, with a large bathroom and good mosquito protection.

Grecotel зробив все можливе для того, щоб відпочинок запамʼятався нашій сімʼї надовго.
Pros:

Велика та зручна, дуже зелена територія. Комфорті та охайні номери.
Не дуже великий аквапарк (кількість самих гірок) на великий території, що для нас було великим плюсом.
