Good food, safe parking and room ok. Staff were OK but not great.
Welcome was underwhelming, bar service average and despite asking about bar closure, grumpy looks when asking for a night cap 1hr before stated closure time when we returned from a wander round the village.
The location
The wifi did not work.
it’s rained one night and the drains from the bath room made the whole room smell, room also smelt damp on the first day.
There was no fans or AC.

We have mobility issues and were put on 2nd floor- that’s our fault for not mentioning it but they said had nothing else available. We really struggled and ended up leaving after 1 night even though we booked for 2.
We booked a deluxe king room and the pictures showed a lovely big bed , 2 armchairs and a walk in shower. The room we were given was nothing like that. The bed wasn’t king size, there was only one chair and the shower was in the bath so we couldn’t use it. There was no wi-fi, no phone connection and a very small tv high up on the wall. Compared to many other places we have booked through you this was one of the poorest. For the price it definitely wasn’t deluxe. Very disappointed unfortunately.
A good location in a very pretty village, convenient for Snowden. Rooms were very comfortable clean and well presented, the nicest towels ever!
The property lacked care and attention, plants and flowers dying and not looked after, dirty tables left for over a day. We did not try the 'pub' as it did not appeal.

Lovely bathroom & very clean
No fans. Was hot out & the rooms had been left with windows open so the room was very hot when we arrived. I asked for a fan to be told no, they only have 1 between all of the rooms. We did then get the fan as the room that had it checked out early however it was very noisy.
The window cleaner also came at 830 in the morning & was suddenly looking into our room.

The room itself
Check-in and service. I was waiting 20 minutes for a member of staff to pause serving drinks to all the people turning up to the bar as I waited. Breakfast itself was OK but it took a long time to be served.
The rooms were fantastic, spacous and nicely decorated. Very comfortable room
Internet was hit and miss and the shower only ran cold but the bath was good lots of hot water
Rooms and location were fabulous. Clean and lovely decor.
The staff need extensive training. Whilst friendly they lacked the basic professionalism required for hospitality. There was no evident leadership and to sit and have breakfast whilst listening to the kitchen staff bitch about their jobs and bosses is inappropriate.
The breakfast room lacked any atmosphere and felt like being at a Wake.
