Rooms were a little too tiny. No place to put your luggage
Unfortunately, my stay at Moxy NYC Chelsea was not comfortable. The room was smaller than expected, and there was no refrigerator, which was inconvenient during my stay. Also, the bathroom design lacked privacy because it was almost transparent.
In addition, I noticed a maintenance issue with the wooden floor. When stepping on some floor panels, there seemed to be water leakage or moisture underneath. This made the room feel poorly maintained.
The location is good, but in terms of comfort, privacy, and room quality, the experience did not meet my expectations.
Location was great. Walking distance to several iconic neighborhoods as well as a very short walk to a subway entrance. Elizabeth was fantastic and helped me secure the room for the rest of our party when my flight into LGA was delayed. Rooftop bar awesome for sunset/dusk drinks!
We decided to spend my wife’s 40th birthday in NYC. I contacted the hotel and spoke with Brittany (front office manager). I had a few ideas to make the room extra special. Brittany went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me pull it off. She communicated with me through every step and made the moment, one we’ll never forget! Overall the hotel property was clean and the staff were warm and friendly. The city views were spectacular and the rooftop bar was a VIBE! I’d highly recommend this property

We liked the location of the property
The rooms were nearly inhabitable, considering it was a 90° weekend in New York and the air conditioners were not working and the maintenance man that came up to fix them, it only worked for a couple hours after that and then I went back to be steaming hot so we were unable to sleep during the night
Great location, decor, and bars/lounges
Additional $20/night fee that you could put toward food/drinks was a surprise at check-in and felt like a money grab
No exhaust in the bathroom.

No trash can in living space.

They put us in the lower floors so it was a bit lows at night with the street and in the weekend…
I booked this hotel for its amenities. However the rooftop restaurant wasn’t allowed for kids even early. And it’s closed Sunday and Monday so be aware. we couldn’t enjoy the view at any time. The lobby bar was closed. So basically nothing from the nice pics they advertise was accessible. Such a disappointment especially when you book the hotel for these specific things! They should specify this hotel isn’t kid friendly to avoid having kids. We won’t go back!
Great stay in flower district. Moxy Chelsea. The hotel staff were very Fri and accommodating. Hotel in a great location but can be loud at night, even late night.
