Cons:

Not clean at all. They gave me an accessible room that I did not need and seemed to keep the better rooms for other guests. Overall, it was not worth the money at all and was a disappointing experience.

Bel hôtel et personnel courtois, mais commodités en chambre à améliorer
Pros:

L’hôtel est bien situé, propre et agréable, et le personnel s’est montré courtois et professionnel.

Cons:

Cependant, certains aspects liés aux commodités en chambre nous ont déçus pour un établissement de ce niveau. Après une journée de travail, lorsque l’on revient à la chambre pour se reposer, il est désagréable de devoir aller demander des articles de base comme des brosses à dents ou des bonnets de douche. Ce type d’articles devrait être disponible en chambre, ou du moins prévu de façon plus accessible.

Nous avons également été surpris qu’il n’y ait pas d’eau potable disponible directement dans la chambre. On nous a indiqué d’utiliser une fontaine située à l’extérieur de la chambre, ce qui ne correspond pas au niveau de confort et aux attentions attendues dans un hôtel de ce standing.

L’amélioration devrait surtout porter sur les commodités offertes directement en chambre, afin que l’expérience soit pleinement à la hauteur de la qualité de l’établissement.

In the centre of all Ottawa has to offer
Pros:

Staff and facilities were top notch. Being close to Byward Market and Parliament is a bonus. Felt very welcome at the hotel.

Cons:

It’s surrounded by shelters and didn’t feel safe at night.

My stay at the Le Germain was exceptional and surpassed my already high expectations.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean with great attention to detail. All of the employees were extremely welcoming, warm, and seemed to genuinely care about ensuring an outstanding stay for their guests.

Staff are excellent
Pros:

Staff are absolutely exceptional there. My son has asthma and allergies and they were so conscientious about him having everything he needed to be comfortable in our room. Rooms were very clean and we had plenty of space. Also enjoyed our breakfast at Norca. Loved that the hotel is connected to the Ottawa Art Gallery, we really enjoyed our visit to OAG.

Cons:

Pretty much liked everything. Parking was a little limited in their shared underground lot. Don't make the same mistake we did and not get your parking ticket changed over to a hotel parking ticket - we didn't and the overnight parking cost us $60,00 on the way out instead of $45.00
