Large room very modern. Comfy beds. Fantastic Views, excellent pool and rooftop bar. Good location

Cons:

Only downside was the smell in the bathroom toilet, each morning woke up to strong smell of wee. Reported it but still the same the second day.

Bright and comfortable room in a prime location
Pros:

We had a very comfortable stay overall! The room was bright, clean, and beautifully decorated. In contrast, the lobby downstairs was a bit dimly lit, showing its age, and felt quite compact, which was quite a difference from the impressive rooms.
The location is unbeatable. It is super close to the train station, making it very convenient for travelers. There are plenty of high-quality Western restaurants nearby, as well as a McDonald’s for a quick bite, and you can easily take a nice walk down to the river.
For driving guests, the hotel offers valet parking, but it is quite expensive—you might want to consider using a public parking lot nearby instead. Overall, it's a great choice for a pleasant and convenient stay!

We stayed at Emporium Hotel South Bank to celebrate our 20th anniversary and wanted to acknowledge the genuinely exceptional service we received.

When we first checked into our room, we noticed some staining on the wall near the bed. It wasn’t what we expected from a hotel of this standard, so we raised it with reception. What impressed us was not that there was an issue — these things can happen — but how incredibly well it was handled.

Tyler, the manager at reception, was absolutely wonderful. He responded immediately and was genuinely concerned that our stay should be a memorable one. He arranged for us to move to a beautiful suite, which was completely unexpected and incredibly generous. We certainly weren’t looking for special treatment; we simply wanted a clean and comfortable room, so the care Tyler took to turn the situation around really meant a lot to us.

Jimmy from Concierge was also fantastic, as was Julie Manega, the General Manager. The whole experience felt personal rather than simply “handled”, and that distinction says a lot about the service culture at Emporium.

The hotel itself is beautiful, but ultimately it’s people who make a stay memorable. What could easily have been a disappointing start became a really lovely part of our anniversary because of the kindness, professionalism and generosity of the team.

A huge thank you particularly to Tyler, Jimmy and Julie. We left feeling very well looked after and genuinely appreciative.

We would happily return — and recommend Emporium South Bank without hesitation.
