Pub rooms in Surrey Hills
Pros:

Lovely location, room (and bathroom) was big with a beautiful beamed ceiling.

Bed was firm and comfortable. Towels were big and fluffy. Good lighting options in the room and plenty of wardrobe and drawers for storage.

The included breakfast was fine, although the continental was limited to toast and cereal. The buttermilk pancakes were definitely crepes rather than the usual thick and fluffy type, there was no maple syrup so mine came with fruit instead of the requested bacon but we were in a rush so this was okay.

Cons:

The shower head was a large rainfall one but only half the holes worked so it was more of a sporadic drizzle and the water was very hot.

The WiFi was unreliable, to the point that the TV was unwatchable - but this meant we got better sleep and read a book instead so could be a plus rather than a minus!

Pros:

Lovely location in pretty village. Good cooked breakfast served by lovely staff. Restaurant in Inn attached had delicious food.

Cons:

Bathroom needed attention, shower not very good for what was described as a boutique hotel.

Beautiful setting
Pros:

Beautiful setting. Breakfast was really good. Bed was super comfortable. All staff were lovely except for the barman!

Cons:

Barman was rude and just didn't seem bothered to help!!
Hotel could do with a bit of an update, window broken in our room and cracked tiles on bathroom.
We had to go downstairs to get milk from the room which wasn't practical as it was so hot, it would have gone off by morning. Maybe milk sachets would be better?

Beautiful location, lovely food, excellent staff
Pros:

The location was beautiful, with lovely walks available in close vicinity to the hotel. We did a short walk that was advertised at reception on the Paeaslake.org website. The food was lovely, and well cooked and the staff we all extremely friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cons:

The only downside was that although a fan was provided, there wasn't an easily accessible plug socket to use it in. This wasn't a huge issue and wouldn't prevent me from booking here again.

A comfortable stay for the duration and next time I would ensure to have access to a car.
Pros:

Overall, I liked the location and of course the accommodation. The Staff were friendly and very helpful, what more could one ask for?

Cons:

The one thing that disappointed me was the shower as it would have been great to have shower that could 'wake you up' especially after those warmer nights during summer.

Great location and friendly efficient staff but hotel really is tired.
Pros:

Great location and atmosphere.

Cons:

The hotel is super tired - one of the window frames was totally rotten and painted over. The bedside table was wonky…..phone kept sliding off, bathroom tired.
