Pros:

It's a straightforward honest hotel,.we stayed for work reasons and although I wouldn't have a romantic weekend away there it's certainly very good for a relaxing sleep and good friendly staff.

Cons:

Nothing really, location isn't the best is the worst I can say.

We only stayed 2 out of the six days we booked for
Cons:

Its was dilapidated, outdated and in need of refurbishing, although it’s said breakfast they stopped serving food last year, we up graded to delux and well….see the pictures 😔

Lovely stay in Buckie, downhill from town centre
Pros:

Lovely friendly staff, pretty sea views. Clean and comfortable, soft beds. Convenient location so long as you are able to walk uphill / use stairs. Loved the town centre.

Cheap and cheerful hotel with free on-site parking and a sea view.
Pros:

All good. Was met on arrival by a member of staff who was friendly and helpful. Quiet location with a sea view. Clean and tidy room, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Free tea and coffee was appreciated! Also has a bar and an outside area where you can smoke/drink.

Cons:

Slightly tired decor, but the facilities were more than adequate so it didn't bother us at all. The curtains could be thicker in order to block out the light, but again, easily solved with a sleep mask.

What expected for the price
Pros:

Pretty close to the sea, easy parking
It was cheap for 1 night

Cons:

Wouldn’t stay again, not really welcoming
It has much potential or maybe it used to be very good, but very tired and needs lots of TLC

Pros:

Heater was on and room was cosy.

Cons:

It was a hot water in tap but not in shower for some reason, but probably if you speak with someone it be ok, I didn't bother at that time.

Pros:

The room , towels and toilet were clean enough.
However, the premises are very 'tired '.
No permanent receptionist, met one member of staff at registration, he was helpful by giving me a room.closer to the entrance as lift was out of order.(I was told it had been for some time). That was the last time I saw any staff.The only surviving signage on the hotel front were the A, I, and T. Which made made it difficult to recognise it as the MARINE HOTEL from.the outside.
