Overall was generally clean, though a couple stains on the carpet and bench. Not a bad location, but not amazing. Good food nearby. Was on the 6 floor and when they cleaned the rooms, the hallways smelled wet and like mildew with all the sheets piled in the hall. The blinds did nothing to keep out the light, so I needed to wear a sleep mask. I would stay again but I’d probably look at other options first.
The hotel and staff were really good. The only disappointment for me was the quality of the bed/Mattress. I didn’t sleep well and my back was painful.
Hotel is in walking distance from the Kyoto Metro stations and the Nijo Castle. Japanese style breakfast is served each morning.
This is a great little hotel near walkable sites. But a bit of a walk to a train station, about 15min. Clean and comfortable room but the bed was rock hard, possibly the hardest I’ve ever slept on. Also the breakfast was traditional Japanese every morning with no other options. And you could sometimes smell smoke from the smoking room at the back. I would stay again. Lovely staff.
Far from Tokyo station takes 30 min bus or 30 min walk to station ready bad breakfast you cant chose what to eat

The room was small and the beds aren’t the most comfortable. Staff was nice and friendly. Location is the biggest highlight being very close to the castle and with tons of options for transportation.

I stayed in Hedistar hotel for two weeks and have nothing to complain about : the room is very clean, modern and we sleep well in it.
My stay was excellent – the staff were warm and attentive, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere made me feel truly welcomed. I’d be happy to return.
Very good hotel. Smaller room but perfect for a single traveller
Great stay at the hedistar! Staff super helpful and the breakfast option was very delicious. Room was spacious (booked a 2 bed room). Towels and garbages cleaned every day but the room itself isn’t turned over every day. Would stay again!
