A charming location with attentive staff. Great food.
Pros:

The restaurant was exceptional value with a top chef.
We both had the brisket of beef for dinner. Beautifully cooked, tender with proper gravy and fresh vegetables.
Also breakfast was plentiful and good choice. I asked for a kipper with black pudding. I got the whole fish complete with bones not just a fillet from a packet. Loved it!

Cons:

We were in a 'studio' not the main block. The studio was cold when we arrived and after initial heating we had to request the radiators to be put on again at 23:00. If not the room would have been cold during the night.
The entrance doorway was small and made of stone.
I'm 6ft 3in tall and caught my head on it. A warning sign might help.

Very pleasant location, good service, excellent food.
Pros:

Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous.

Cons:

The room was on the small size, there was only one bedside cabinet, and the only power sockets were used for the kettle;e and tv, which meant replacing them each time we wanted to charge our phones. The internet wasn't very strong and often couldn't access the web.

We enjoyed our stay but there was just a few niggly things which could make our stay a lot better.
Pros:

The place itself was good. The meals were also good. The staff were also friendly.

Cons:

There was no mirror in the bedroom so if you wanted to comb your hair you had to use the on suite which was a bit annoying. The stairs to the room we were in were awkward to being cases up. We thought it really could do with a bit of an update all round. We booked our slot for a meal but had to wait over an hour for its to arrive at our table.
