Nice hotel, shame about the service. Won’t be coming back.
Pros:

We liked the location and ease to get everywhere, we were there for a wedding so was perfect to get around. We loved the live music and a drink in the nickel bar.

Cons:

We thought the service was incredibly poor for the price paid, in the nickel bar we had to wait 30 mins to get a drink. We thought breakfast was disappointing, we asked for milk with our coffee, never came. Asked for water, never came. We ordered a juice and it got put on the table without ice or a glass.
We had our room cleaned as there for two days but wasn’t given fresh milk or water so had no milk for coffee the second morning. We asked for turndown both nights, didn’t happen.
We had lunch in the Italian and again, service was very poor and felt ignored. We were surprised with service as stayed in other hotels of the same quality and they were all round much better.

First stay likely not last. Loved the lobby, the food, the music, the service, and the rooftop!

Great great stay. Friendly staff, gorgeous lobby, historic building, plentiful restaurants, Underground across the street, good bookstore and pharmacy within 1000 ft.

An evocative stay at the heart of the financial district and the City
Pros:

Cosy Room -cosy but plenty of space.
The non-stop music offered - mood music during the day, something a bit more loud into the evening
The range of restaurants. We used Milly's for food -at various, quality all excellent.
Still had the ambiance of a very grand Bank -liked that history
Excellent front of house, doormen who wafted us in, reception (Isis) all very welcoming
We were taking a train from Liverpool Street Station - so the location couldn't have been better

Cons:

Quibbles really. Would have liked a bit more shelf space in the bathroom around the sink -seem to collect more items as I get older!
Felt the breakfast team at Milly's on Sunday morning lacked some attention to detail . When I finished my cooked breakfast the empty plate wasn't removed and I had to use it for toast. The coffee was very lukewarm. No problem with the food

Fantastic hotel with super facilities and a great atmosphere.
Pros:

The breakfast at Millies was exceptional. All members of staff were helpful and friendly. The facilities and atmosphere at the hotel are excellent. We have never experienced a hotel quite like this. It was fantastic and we will definitely stay again.

Birthday treat to myself and I was thoroughly spoilt!
Pros:

Location was perfect for getting to my restaurant booking but I also wish I’d had a longer stay to try the hotel restaurant and bar as it was buzzing and had live entertainment. The staff were wonderful and welcoming.

Cons:

There was nothing to dislike.
