There were 6 of us celebrating a 60th birthday at the Ned Feast on a Sunday.
We booked online but received no confirmation at all other than the fact that they took a huge deposit. Not the friendliest on the desk when we arrived - they reminded us several times that we only had 2 hours before we’d even sat down.
We were given a booth which tight for 6 and just didn’t work with a buffet when you’re all trying to eat or get out at different times.
Cutlery and napkins were dirty and there weren’t enough glasses on the table.
Took ages to get a drink and refills for the water, and they were slow to clear used plates.
Worse was the huge service charge which really soured the experience when the service had been so poor.
The food was pretty good though and it should be at these prices.
Alas my wife was too full to eat the mini birthday cake from the Ned and we had to leave it because they couldn’t provide a box or foil.
Don’t waste your money - this is not a premium experience.
Don’t stay if you value quiet. Some event on the 6th floor blasting music with heavy bass that prevented any peaceful sleep or relaxation. DO NOT stay if you value peace and quiet. Nice place but geez
When we booked, we upgraded to a King Room, worth the extra. They have very limited parking at a price, but worth every penny. Assisted by the concierge, Massoum (hope I am correct), he could not do enough and was a great help. Check in (early) was smooth and without issue.
The room was opposite a fellow traveller, we were attending a wedding at St Paul's Cathedral and the location could not be better. Everything you want in the wardrobe, hairdryer, steamer and shoe horn etc.
Bed was excellent as was the choice of pillow, slept very well.
Just loved it. Made better by excellent staff.
Great for people watching from the bar.
Struggled to get there, the sat nav encountered issues as a road was partially closed. Being extremely picky, the towel rail was in the most awkward place! Above the toilet. No bath, but the shower was excellent.
Class
No instant coffee
Absolutely stunning surroundings perfect. From the front door our cases where taken from us and the whole experience was fantastic even to the man that had to help us work the air con
Everyone was fantastic and we made good memories
Dealing with the Ned’s reservations desk was not the best advertising for them early on in asking about rooms…
The atmosphere at the lobby, the staff were polite and attentive & the room has lovely furniture
The location and the facilities are a bit rundown
What can I stay what a wonderful Venue. We had the Neds Feast and it was outstanding .
Everything was perfect . What made it perfect was Thomas who was our server. He was polite ..attentive… nothing was too much trouble. What a great guy .He looked after everyone the same and made everyone feel special. What a gentleman.
We were celebrating a friends 60th Birthday. Having never been to the Ned before we decided to call in for a couple of drinks. So can’t comment on rooms or food but the wine and cocktails were really good. Great atmosphere and background live music. Even though we were not staying overnight or eating, we were made to feel very welcome and well looked after by the bar staff. In particular I’d like to mention Carlo and Ashley. Very attentive with good conversation. Both a credit to the establishment. Only issue was the price. We were not looking for or expecting low cost but didn’t quite expect the prices and charges to be as high as they were.
Exceptionally well looked after by Carlo and Ashley as we passed a few hours celebrating our friend Mike’s birthday! Attentive service, great atmosphere and a couple too many G & Ts! Wonderful!
The staff were helpful and very friendly.
The thermostat wasn’t working properly.
My husband and I were gifted a night here and it was absolutely amazing. From arrival when we were met by Andy, who could not have been more helpful, to check in with Antonio, check out with Eleonora and the fabulous bar staff, Leon and Dane who made delicious cocktails and took time to talk to us, to all the other staff that made our stay so great, we couldn’t have been treated better.
Our room was vintage and with so many little touches that just made our stay perfect. We indulged in breakfast in bed, the bed was so comfortable I never wanted to leave.
Many thanks to everyone who made our stay fabulous and I would highly recommend staying here.
We have always wanted to stop here an it didn’t let us down. From the pool to the music in the lobby all was great.
Staff were very helpful,’polite and courteous.
Amazing hotel as always.
None.
We liked the location and ease to get everywhere, we were there for a wedding so was perfect to get around. We loved the live music and a drink in the nickel bar.
We thought the service was incredibly poor for the price paid, in the nickel bar we had to wait 30 mins to get a drink. We thought breakfast was disappointing, we asked for milk with our coffee, never came. Asked for water, never came. We ordered a juice and it got put on the table without ice or a glass.
We had our room cleaned as there for two days but wasn’t given fresh milk or water so had no milk for coffee the second morning. We asked for turndown both nights, didn’t happen.
We had lunch in the Italian and again, service was very poor and felt ignored. We were surprised with service as stayed in other hotels of the same quality and they were all round much better.
I have never been more disappointed with a visit to a restaurant in all my life
We had booked the Sunday feast & was really looking forward to incorporating it into our weekend in London
The worst part was the customer service.
Being interrupted when we first sat down was a big no no. Then we ordered a bottle of still water & a beer. It never turned up. Had to ask again
Then I ordered a glass of red wine, again for it not to turn up . Asked again, no joy . I then decided it was far too late now & called our waiter over to cancel it . He looked up & said he had forgotten it & he said I’ll get you a complimentary glass. Guess what ? It never appeared. Like other reviews have said, tap water was added to my glass of bottled water,
The food was ok. Not blown away.
I wish I had booked a Michelin starred restaurant & had exquisite food being waited in hand & foot for less money
My advice, don’t go. Book somewhere else!
