Staff were great, I stayed alone and it was so hot so I went and asked if they had a fan, they got me one straight away and filled ny bottle up with water and ice. Restaurant was lovely really nice food. Close to Gatwick £7 for a shuttle and they arrange it all so zero stress! Booking to stay again in a few weeks for next trip. When I first arrived I didn't have a lighter, I asked a guy to borrow his and he let me keep it (he worked there)
Nothing i was very happy with my stay.
Convenient for The airport, clean and spacious
Room hot and noisy because of busy road
Nothing
Musty
Great location especially at the price for Gatwick Airport and anything that side of London, especially with the airport shuttle to the airport from where public transport into London is easy. Staff on reception and in the shuttle were friendly and accommodating, even in the early hours of the morning. Even the iron and ironing board I requested were new. Unfortunately I was too late to try to the bar and restaurant this time around but would definitely stay there again. Ability to park at the hotel and get a shuttle to and from the airport at any time is also a plus, especially as the hotel can then be used in conjunction with Gatwick Express fro a late night out in London as well as using it for the airport.
Some areas seemed a little dated and down at heel but for the price, it can be forgiven for that as generally everything was clean and worked. Soft furnishing perhaps a little chintzy but again, at the price it can be forgiven for that. Cleaning wasn't perhaps quite as thorough as one might expect as some bins were not emptied, though again, this was mid stay (2 nights) so perhaps they are trying to economise on the number of bin liners they used. Again, no issue as lack of emptied bins was mid stay and the bins weren't full. Shower frame was leaking and a little more preventative maintenance could be used but for a budget stay before an early flight out or late flight back in then it more than serves its purpose.
Bien situé, mais à côté de la route et pas mal de bruit de trafic
Le bruit de trafic, car située à côté de la route
Location
Had to pay £10 to park - not mentioned on booking.com
Food, staff very friendly. Good location and shuttle service in the night was very good to airport.
The bedding. Was dirty and had a rough blanket
Clean and functional.
Not happy about parking charges which were not stated whilst booking. They kept rattling on about it because it was near the airport. £10 a night - would booked elsewhere if I'd known as I was only staying there to visit someone - nothing to do with the airport. To be fair I thought the staff were pretty stroppy and got a bit weird when I didn't add a flight number to my booking in details. Didn't seem to comprehend that someone may stay there who is not actually using the airport. Will find somewhere else next time where I'm made welcome. Weird people.
Easy for airport
good shuttle bus
Room very clean
Very hot. But I was given a huge fan
Helpful staff
Posizione vicinissima all’aeroporto con servizio di navetta per 7 sterline ( anche notturno).
Personale cordiale.
Ristorante e bar ottimi!
Arredamento un po’ antico.
Location was good.
It was very hot.No Air conditioner.
Staff was not that helpful. It was expensive.
Environment
This is a comment. I only had about 7 hours there because of the problems with rail connections that day so only really has a bed and transport to and from Gatwick. However the hotel accommodated a young family who missed their flight and this pleased me greatly.
Shuttle service (although the driver was a bit cranky). Restaurant in the hotel. Wonderful desk staff.
No screens on the windows meant they had to be shut all night, and there was no aircon. The nights were very stuffy and hot. The restaurant charges were exorbitant.
The bathrooms were marvellous. There was no noise even with windows open', from gatwick despite bring so close. The spanish lady behind the bar was lovely. I loved the food was not just hotel food but had a Turkish touch.
The annexe where we were staying, on arrival looked a bit tired. Carpets were old. I did feel though this might be a work in progress. I walked past a place filled with bags of carpet gripperods which bodes well for ongoing improvements
