Hotel Agava

No elevator, although this was not unexpected in small, boutique hotel in an old city

Upon arrival, they tried to put us in a room without windows (just an opening on they kitchen room) which would match the description of a cave more that the description of a hotel bedroom.

We had to refuse and find another hotel offering rooms with ... windows.

We stayed in the pool room

Okay, it booked an Economy Double room which should have been a hint, but I was not expecting to be staying in the pool shed.

The pool room is perfectly fine on the inside, I have no complaints. When we were booking online, from the photos, we expected to be staying in an old building with a nice atmosphere. Instead, we were in a pool shed that looked more than an extension of the pool than the rest of the hotel.

It felt quite shameful and embarrassing to be staying in the pool room, and I think that the other pool users and sunbathers were quite shocked and uncomfortable to see other guests emerging from what looks like a pool shed to store equipment. There were sunbathers just in front of our window with no clue that a person could be stood right behind them. It was embarrassing to leave the room, as the room really does look silly from the outside.

So this room would be suitable if you would not mind this. I have no complaints for any of the other facilities, but staying in this room was really quite upsetting and really did put a damper on our stay in Split.

Die Unterkunft wirbt im Buchungssystem mit Parkplätzen und Parkhaus, wurde sogar im Begrüßung E-Mail noch mal extra so beschrieben. Letztendlich habe ich dann illegal auf dem Gehweg geparkt und bin in der Mittagshitze mit Gepäck 15 Minuten das Hotel suchen gegangen.
Was an sich gar nicht geht:
Es gibt kein Frühstück im Hotel, obwohl es so gebucht wurde. Das Frühstück gibt es in einem Restaurant, das circa 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt liegt. Dann hätte ich mir auch ein Zimmer ohne Frühstück buchen können und mir das Restaurant selber aussuchen.

Our room, was just off reception area, not the room I paid for. In hindsight was mixed up on check in. I am sure there are lovely rooms on higher levels, perhaps with views too, as I had expected.

As we were in the loft the luggage up the stairs was an effort given the stairs are quite steep.

Il n’est pas précisé dans l’annonce que le petit déjeuner doit être pris dans une brasserie de la Riva à 5 /10 minutes de l’hôtel
Le parking que l’hôtel propose est le parking public d’à côté, non précisé également au même prix.
De plus nous étions au deuxième étage sans ascenseur avec une cage d’escalier très étroite
Pas pratique du tout avec des bagages et inaccessible pour certaines personnes, ça non plus ce n’est pas précisé
