Fine location in middle of Kampala with nice staff and -breakfast.
Pros:

Location is in the middle of Kampala so hard to reach by rental car. However, when there it’s very quiet and surrounded by trees etc. with al kinds of bird. Restaurant is nicely situated in the gardens at the ground floor. Standard room was in an outbuilding and was good but with very small bathroom. After upgrading to a more luxury room this was solved.
Breakfast was excellent with very friendly staff during the whole day. Dinner was ok but - being a vegetarian - there was only one choice (risotto) so the menu can offer some more variety. Live performance of Janzi band was excellent!

Bathroom in standard room and choice on menu.

- the size of the room and bathroom;

- the super rich breakfast.

Cons:

The room has a small window above the door through which light comes in from the outdoor terrace, where the light is left on all night.
On the other hand, if you actually need light in the room for work or reading, the lamps are too dim.

The hotel tends to function as a business hotel (business workshops and meetings are held there); however, the room does not have an adequate desk—one large enough for a laptop, papers, and documents—for comfortable work.

Very quiet and calming but transfers and steak a problem
Pros:

Position. Nice restaurant. Friendly staff. Food and wine good, steak a little tough ( although they do give us a free fruit bowl dessert as compensation which was a welcome touch)
Spa and pool looked nice but we don’t use. Gardens very nice

Cons:

Be careful. We had arranged and confirmed transfer to the hotel from airport. But nobody turned up, so took an airport car. On way back they arranged the transfer- but driver said problem is hotel doesn’t see to have accounts with the taxi/limo companies

Bathroom inside the room with opening shutters. Not very private. No shower. Small shower attachment in bath which made floor wet.

Amazing SPA
Pros:

Its really nice place. I have used the spa services and it was amazing.

Cons:

Room 306 needs some maintenance. The windows didn’t close, you could open them from the outside. The boiler was leaking or something else was leaking in the bathroom. I walked in into a puddle of water in the morning as I didn’t put the light on

Its quiet a green oasis in the city. Food in restaurant was lovely and I really enjoyed the Friday live music night
One of the waitresses.Maimuna (hope have spelled that correctly) was.superb. She really.looked.afrer.me at.Breakfast.and the Friday evening dinner. Please acknowledge her to management
As.a.solo female traveller I really appreciate that. But all.staff were good
