Everything, honestly. The location in Arashiyama is the star: quiet in the early morning before the day trippers arrive, and a short walk to the bamboo grove and the Togetsukyo bridge. Coming back to somewhere this calm after a full day out was a real luxury. The room was spotless, comfortable and thoughtfully set up, with plenty of space to unpack properly for four nights rather than living out of a suitcase. Check in was smooth and friendly, and the hosts were genuinely helpful with local tips. Great transport links too, easy to reach the rest of Kyoto and straightforward onward to the station. Excellent value for what you get

Sehr freundliches Personal und die Unterkunft ist groß und sehr komfortabel. Das große Bett war sehr bequem und die Lage war für uns optimal, auch die Nähe zum Bahnhof, Supermarkt, Restaurants und zum Bambuswald. Wir können es sehr weiter empfehlen.

This hotel was by far our best accommodation of our 10-day stay in Japan. It was clean, comfortable, the staff was excellent and very accommodating. After check out they held our bags for the day and that was really great since we spontaneously booked a river rafting tour just outside of Kyoto. The beds were like clouds and my wife really loved the espresso machine. The bathroom was also exceptional with a rain shower head. The location is awesome as well being so close to the train station, ISO sushi, and a Lawson as well as three amazing tourist attractions. The bamboo forest, the monkeys, and a temple shrine. This was tens across the board so don't hesitate to book it. We wanted to stay longer but it was booked out.

For the price I paid for the room and service was excellent.

Bardzo ładny pokój. Łazienka z ogromnym prysznicem robi wrażenie. Bardzo dużo miejsca. Na wyposażeniu ekspres do kawy. Dobra lokalizacja, blisko dworca kolejowego. Niedaleko sklep spożywczy i restauracja z sushi.

¡Bellísimo lugar! Es un hotel pequeño y muy bonito. Llegamos como 50 minutos antes del check-in pensando en dejar las maletas y regresar, pero nos permitieron registrarnos a esa hora e incluso nos recibieron con una taza de té de la región. La habitación fue perfecta, amplia, cómoda, linda. Todo excelente. Además tenía una nota de bienvenida personalizada con mi nombre y acompañada de un par de grullas de papel. ¡Hermoso detalle! Fuimos a Arashiyama al Toro Nagashi y al Gozan No Okuribi, fue perfecto. El hotel estaba un poco lejos de esa zona (perfectamente caminable), pero a unos pasos de la estación (lo que hizo los traslados de llegada y salida muy cómodos). Arigato gozaimasu!
