Top: Rauschender Bach und mittelalterliche Aussicht!
Pros:

Vorab: Monschau ist wirklich sehr schön, damit habe ich nicht gerechnet.
+ Die Aussicht ist beeindruckend und das ist noch untertrieben
+ das Rauschen des Flusses hat zu einem herausragenden Schlaf geführt
+ Das Bett war sehr komfortabel
+ Ein hochwertiger Mini-Kühlschrank
+ Gut funktionierende Armaturen im Bad
+ Vermieter kümmert sich IM VORFELD der Anreise sehr gut um die Gäste mit vielen Informationen

Cons:

Vorab: Gäste müssen damit rechnen, zum gewählten Parkplatz ein gutes Stück gehen zu müssen, teils auch mit (je nach Wahl) deutlicher Steigung, denn die Unterkunft liegt natürlich mitten in der Innenstadt. Wegen der Masse an Tagesgästen, insb. am WE kann die Parkplatzsuche zur Qual werden. Zum Zeitpunkt der Hospitation gab es eine Art Kirmes, die bis in die Nacht Schlager dudelte... Schwierig. Leider waren am gewählten Wochenende einige Geschäfte in Betriebsferien.
In Bezug auf die Unterkunft störten nur Kleinigkeiten:
- Das Zimmer war am Anreisetag sehr stickig warm
- die in den Hausregeln kurz vor Anreisetag geschickte Notiz zu möglichen Lärmsensoren finde ich bedenklich, weil nicht klar definiert ist, was und wie aufgenommen wird
- leider war auf den Fotos nicht zu sehen, dass das Doppelbett eine "Besucherspalte" hat

Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt
Pros:

Sehr schöne, geräumige und gemütliche Ferienwohnung in absolut zentraler Lage – zentraler geht es wirklich nicht. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten konnten wir sogar direkt aus dem Fenster sehen. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und fürsorglich und hat sich sogar telefonisch erkundigt, ob wir gut angekommen sind – das fanden wir besonders aufmerksam. Die Wohnung und auch die Küche waren sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohlgefühlt.

Cons:

Die Wohnung liegt im Dachgeschoss und die Treppen könnten für Menschen mit Knie- oder Mobilitätsproblemen etwas schwierig sein.

Great stay in the beautiful city
Pros:

One of the nicest, friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever met. Kudos to the whole team for such a great preparation to the visit of their guests, readiness to jump in the call to help and so on. The house itself and rooms are also very good, the beds are very comfy. It gives you a very special atmosphere. 100% recommended

It would be nice to have a coffee table and get rid of those very high pillows :)

Fantastisch verblijf

Gezellig hotel, om de hoek van het sfeervolle centrum
Pros:

Is dit een hotel of B&B, volgens mij B&B, maar echt prima!! Enkele dagen voor de aankomst kreeg ik instructies wat ik moest doen om binnen te komen. Een sleutelkastje met een code gaf me toegang tot de sleutel, de rest spreekt voor zich.
De aanwijzingen zijn meer dan duidelijk. De eigenaar heeft me nog gebeld om te vragen of alles gelukt was, gewoon prima. De kamer ziet er netjes en sfeervol uit. Ik had een kamer met zicht op het kasteel.
Er is geen ontbijt bij, maar dat was van te voren bekend. Je kunt in de buurt bij diverse gelegenheden eten. Dat kan met een echt ontbijt, in een ander hotel, of door om de hoek bij een bakker broodjes te halen. Op de kamer was verder alles aanwezig zoals een waterkoker.
Parkeren kan in de buurt en als je elektrisch moet laden, zet dan de auto in de parkeergarage naast de Sparkasse neer. De Seidenstrasse (volgens mij heet die zo) was op mijn moment van aankomst in een verbouwing en de lader die daar staat werkt niet. Ook de eigenaar van het hotel gaf aan beter naast de Sparkasse te gaan staan. Is gratis tussen 19.00 en 09.00.

Cons:

Er stond in het aanmeldingbericht dat het beter is om buiten het stadje te parkeren. Je kunt inderdaad heel moelilijk met de auto tot voor de deur komen om je spullen uit te laden. Het is geen ramp, maar ik denk als je wat moeilijk te been bent, dan je daar wel even rekening mee moet houden.
