Quirky and unique, different exceptional, Helen has some much knowledge of the hotel and history could have talked with her for hours, it was full of curiosities would love to stay for a cocktail or two and the tea room cakes look amazing xx
Crows nest can be a little cold in the morning but otherwise perfect

UNIQUE QUIRKY DECOR AND AMBIENCE., PLUS SUPERB LOCATION
IN THE BATHROOM THERE WAS INSUFFICIENT LIGHT FOR MAKE-UP, THE SINK WAS VERY LOW AND THE SIDE OF THE BATH WAS VERY HIGH, WITH NO SHOWER FITTING. PLUS THE BREAKFAST WAS RATHER MINIMALISTIC.
Great location, friendly helpful staff. Very quirky with a nice cocktail bar.
Not clean, the rooms were dusty and some of the rugs and bedside tables were stained.

The room had been divided up to create room for an en suite, which made the bedroom very small and the bathroom with only a bath, no shower or attachment. There was very little area to store anything and very poor lighting.

This was our second stay at this quirky boutique hotel. It is in a great location, with views of the harbour and abbey from the front bedrooms. Only 5 minutes walk from the pubs, restaurants and shops.
Parking can be challenging at busier times, but we found a spot after a few minutes. We will definitely be back.
Just back from a magical stay at La Rosa hotel. What an absolute treat it was. We hadn't stayed here for 9 years and I was so happy that it hadn't changed at all. It's still a fairytale, quirky, magical, place filled with a wonderful atmosphere and packed with fascinating curiosities. We stayed in The Little Red (Riding Hood) Room, which was enchanting. It may be small but it has a very comfortable 4 poster bed and a lovely hot shower with big fluffy white towels. You can have your continental breakfast in your room or in the tea rooms downstairs with stunning views of Whitby Abbey from the windows. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and so fresh using finest quality products. The cocktail bar is amazing, as are the cocktails and the eclectic music. The owners and staff are so lovely and friendly and looked after us so well. We can't wait to return. Many thanks to Rob, Helen, Ilona and Brodie. You are all stars. Our stay was also hugely enhanced by John, Margo and Madame La Rosa. My husband and myself loved every single minute of our stay.
What an amazing place. Really cute and quaint. The owners have spent a lot of time making the hotel very homely and different.
Very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
We stayed in caravan room. Which was quite small but adequate. Spotlessly clean.
Continental breakfast is included but we didn’t have it as we went out early. But it looked lovely.
