Good hotel, pity they don't do breakfast
Pros:

Nice hotel, comfortable and good value. Having own big screen for FA Cup was good.

Cons:

Don't do breakfast, you need go to different hotel. Paid extra to upgrade, but still not 5 mins before check in time would they allow.

Pros:

Staff went out of their way especially Amy on Reception! Nothing was too much trouble.

Cons:

We ordered room service and they had forgotten toast be we had asked for it earlier than scheduled so we did not mention it!! A small error and did not spoil the experience,

Romantic weekend away
Pros:

Great location, lovely big room (stayed in a deluxe double), very clean and comfortable. Amazing staff.

Cons:

Large windows down to the floor which left no privacy on the front street. Had to keep thick curtains closed on beautiful sunny days.

A lovely stay.
Pros:

I stayed here as a treat for my 5 year old niece. The staff could not do enough for you especially Amy on reception going out of her way to recommend nearby eateries. My niece wants to return to Southport to see her especially!
I rang in advance to request a quiet room as I am a light sleeper and the room was perfect and so quiet.
Great location and nearby reduced rate car parking.
Beds super comfortable also!
Room service did forget toast with breakfast however we appreciate we rang to receive it earlier than scheduled and it was not a problem. It did not stop us enjoying it.

My wife or die have stirred at the Lou Street hotel on three occasions now and I loved it every time

Pleasant, good location, nice facilities, shame about the showers
Pros:

Nice bar and restaurant, easy location for shops and bars

Cons:

The shower alternated between boiling hot and freezing cold, It wasn't usable. Our family were in 3 rooms and they all said the same. I think the water pressure had something to do with it, it kept dipping.

The amount of stairs going too room .and room was awkward too find plus couldn't get in room with key .
