Great location, near Newcastle Airport.
Staff were welcoming.
It was stylish but not always practical.
Door to bathroom was difficult to open and close as it stuck on the floor.
They decided to wash the windows while we were still in the rooms one morning. It felt a bit intrusive and uncomfortable.
Limited menu choice in the restaurant.

The first night we reported the extraction fan noise in bedroom and they said it would go off at 10.00 p.m. it went off at 10.25 p.m. and we could not sleep until it went off. We reported again in the morning and they said they would check it and it stilled stayed after the third time of reporting it we left it and realised that nothing was going to be done. We could not go to bed before 10.30 p.m. Even the TV could not drawn the noise.
Really lovely location, great quality and finish to the room.
The only thing I could criticise was the room is ground floor two windows in the bathroom area needed to be frosted as people could see everything!!!!! You don’t want to close the blind on two windows just for a quick wee.
Fabulous location just 5 mins from Beamish. Beautiful views and the whole place is simply lovely.
The only comment I have is that in the information folder, it would be helpful to have the food availability times as we got caught out on Sunday as food stopped at 6.00.
The size of the room was exceptional and beautifully fitted out with, I presume, bespoke fittings. It was extremely clean and the large bed was comfortable. I was particularly impressed by how nicely kept the gardens were. Loved the lines of lavender bushes and the free range chickens.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. The steps on the stairway up to the veranda could have been a little wider although both my husband and I do have big feet!!
It would have been nice to have “specials” offered for evening meals but what was offered was nicely cooked and presented and the staff were lovely

Property classed as luxury and it is, therefore was disappointed to have mould on bathtub grout and no long mirror in the bedroom. The available mirror in the bedroom is above the tea making facility - not functional for hygiene reasons, unless if it is meant to be decorative. Food quality (included breakfast) could be better.
The most breathtakingly beautiful scenery, friendly staff and a massive well appointed beautiful room. A wonderful stay.

it was my first night in England and when I said that to the lovely lady at the reception she upgraded us to a beautiful suite facing a glorious English green fields view- The suite was more thab comfortable and the 3 hours of afternoon sunshine on the deck facing the view after a long plane journey was priceless - i will never forget it ! thank you ! sometimes you have to be in the right place at the right time and meet the right person !

Great accommodation, well maintained, very comfortable
Everything about the place. Outside of room just great, with a table and seats. Entrance to room looked like a terraced cottage and view over fields beautiful. All staff very pleasant and helpful. The room was very big and furnishings brilliant. We would return here if in area and would definitely recommend to others.
Just how noisy flushing the toilet was but didn’t hear any noise from anywhere else.
This was a stunning location and the property and rooms were beautiful. The freestanding bath and large shower were gorgeous. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.
The quality of the breakfast didn’t match the standard of the hotel.
Location, chickens, the space in the room the furniture was amazing. The facilities were fantastic!
