Everything, what a gem to find. Stunning
Location design and decoration. The size of rooms excellent. The views were amazing the lavender field was stunning . All around the property were flowers and shrubs . Which gives a tranquil experience.
Restaurant area was so comfortable and relaxed .with beautiful views. We enjoyed the food but would have liked a little more choice. Having said that the menus was lovely and the food itself was excellent.

The room was stylish, large and comfortable with a useful veranda. The setting in wonderful countryside and the ambience was enhanced with well tended gardens and hanging baskets providing colour .The pub and restaurant were attractive and charming and the food was delicious

The location was perfect for visiting the Beamish Museum, just 5 minutes down the road. The room was beautiful and the check in simple and friendly. The large copper bath was wonderful for relaxing in after a long day on our feet. Comfortable bed. The fan tower was very welcome in the heat. Quiet a shady room, so stayed pretty cool. Very pretty location. Room serviced daily to a very good standard. Nice freshly cooked breakfast, friendly staff. Good choices for vegetarians.
The bathroom sink, whilst an attractive modern design, has such a small space between the tap and the basin that filling the kettle is very difficult! The bowl is so shallow, with no overflow, that you have to keep a careful eye on the water level.
Wonderful freshly cooked to order breakfast, also a selection of pastries, juices and help yourself to toast, witha choice of spreads and jam. Lovely friendly and efficient staff. Our Room was beautiful, very clean,spacious and extremely comfortable bed and crisp whit bed linen. We also had a lovely evening meal in the pub, which was also delicious and plentiful. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Fabulous modern rooms with EVERYTHING you need. Huge bath and powerful shower. Massive comfy bed and quality bedding. We had a roast dinner the day we arrived and it was honestly one of the best pub roasts I have ever had. The cooked breakfast next morning was delicious and full of top class ingredients. The pub setting is stunning and there were immaculately kept floral displays and plants everywhere.
The only slight disappointment was the buffet element of the breakfast. No marmalade, no butter (only Flora) and not much choice of yogurt, fruit, cereal etc…

The location is stunning, and the room was clean and beautifully laid out with a lot of thought to create the luxury feel. Initial impression was wow. All the staff were welcoming and helpful.
I have addressed my concerns directly with the staff. This is just for others who will stay in the future.
The downstairs rooms need privacy glass in the bathroom as people from the upstairs rooms walk past. It would be nice to be able to leave the blinds up while using the bathroom rather than being seen. In our room all the bathroom lights were either off or on which is a shame as the bathtub is so amazing but it would have been better if you could have just had a couple of the wall lights on to relax. Need curtains in the front of the property so you don't have light coming through while trying to sleep.
Whilst this sounds really negative they are just small but important points if you want to add to the luxury you advertise.
'Birch' room was amazing. High quality furnishings. Clean and Lovely pictures and comfortable bed with luxurious bath and shower.
