Brilliant location, the hotel breakfast was perfect and available for extended hours. Staff could not be more helpful.

The breakfast selection was surprisingly great. I'd say it's definitely one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had in a while.
The complementary room toiletries were generous. And it was a nice surprise to see that the bathroom included a Dyson hair dryer.
I also had a later arrival so I appreciated that they always have someone at the front desk.
The lighting in the hotel room was a little difficult to figure out but that's just a nit-pick.
Centrally located, employees were attentive and helpful
Breakfast was a disaster. Often we were going to breakfast with many items not replenished. Coffee machine was broken for a few days. For what we paid for the breakfast it wasn’t worth it at all.

Do yourself a huge favor and stay in this hotel. It will not only meet your expectations but will far exceed it. What makes this hotel absolutely superb are the people working there. We would like to say a special thank you to Ana (at the front desk) who provided an incredible service all throughout our stay. She truly went above and beyond. She helped us out on number of occasions and provided us with so many fantastic recommendations. Another thank you goes to staff working at the bar and kitchen - they were so kind to us when we had a special request during the breakfast service.
The location of the hotel is unbeatable. It is right in the center and just steps away from all the pintxo bars, fantastic shopping, bakeries, coffee shops and the beach. The hotel has a luxurious boutique feel. Our room was very spacious with super comfortable king size bed, view of the park and small balcony. The bathroom was huge and had amazing shower with very nice lotions and soaps. The cleanliness is top notch. We enjoyed having afternoon cocktails on the patio. The hotel has an agreement with a parking garage close by so parking was not an issue during our stay (you can unload your luggage upon checking in - there is a designated spot right next to the hotel).
What made our vacation even more special was that we were there during the World Cup. We were able to watch Spain-France match in both indoor and outdoor bars. The atmosphere was fantastic (both bars were recommended by the hotel). Because of our fantastic experience in San Sebastian, we will be returning back very soon and staying in Room Mate Collection Gorka again.

Location great and staff fantastic
We mostly had no or very limited access to WiFi in our room. A member staff confirmed they too could not connect so said a maintenance person would need to come the next day to “fix the antenna”. That did happen and we then initially were able to connect but it only lasted for a bit then was failing again.
The other issue they need to think about is breakfast arrangements which I would not recommend in terms of an option. The breakfast time is way understaffed - the staff member was superb but was just her and clearly rushed off her feet. As a result each morning we either had to go find bowls, or plates or spoons as every day something had run out. Also, on the first day, the hot buffet food (including bacon, scrambled eggs and beans) were stone cold as while they had been set out on the hot plate surface it had not been turned on. We asked if the hot plate was not meant to be on and were told no. Each morning thereafter it was on.
