No power or running water - disappointing
Pros:

Good location, good price for the hotel. Modern and recently updated.

Cons:

During our stay, the power, electric and running water were off for a significant period. We asked front desk why this was and were told this happens when the government shut it off due to rainfall. This hotel doesn’t have a backup generator. Therefore it meant no WiFi, no way to charge devices, no shower or toilet flush, no air con. This was extremely unpleasant the morning we checked out of the hotel, not being able to shower or flush the toilet or use electric.

The staff were extremely helpful. The room was very beautiful and spacious.

Cons:

The electricity went out at 11:00 p.m., and I had to wait until 4:00 a.m. without air conditioning in the heat of Samarkand. I wish the hotel had a generator.
